Shape the future of Park View: The 5Essentials survey
Your voice is a vital part of what makes our school community thrive! We are currently inviting all families to participate in the annual Illinois 5Essentials survey. This is your opportunity to share your thoughts on our school’s climate and help us identify areas where we can grow.
Why your participation matters: We have a goal of reaching at least 20% parent participation, so the school can receive a detailed feedback report from the state. Without your input, we miss out on valuable data that helps us improve the learning environment.
How to participate
Step 1: Go to https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/
Step 2: Select "Parent Survey".
Step 3: Choose DuPage as the county.
Step 4: Type our school’s name and select it from the drop-down list.
Note: There are multiple "Park View" schools in DuPage. Be careful to select the Glen Ellyn school.
Households: One parent per household may participate.
Multiple students: If you have more than one child attending the same CCSD 89 school, you are welcome to complete the survey more than once to reflect each student's experience.
The survey is open through March 13.
Thank you for taking a few minutes out of your day to help make Park View and our district the best it can be!
Thank you PTC volunteers
Huge thank you to all of the parents who volunteered for the Valentine's Day parties! The students were full of smiles and our classrooms were filled with friendship and fun.
PTC meeting: February 25, 7 p.m.
We are thrilled to announce that superintendent Doug Eccarius and members of the Board of Education will be joining us for our next PTC meeting!
This is a unique opportunity to hear directly from district leadership regarding the current "state of the district" and receive the latest updates on our schools. Whether you have questions about upcoming initiatives or just want to stay informed, this is the place to be.
Why attend?
Get informed: Hear first-hand about the progress and future plans for CCSD 89.
Get involved: Learn about volunteer opportunities and how you can support Park View.
Get connected: Meet and mingle with other Park View families and staff.
We strive to make our community stronger together, and your voice matters. We look forward to seeing a full house!
Girls on the Run for 3rd/4th/5th graders
We are excited to begin our third season of Girls on the Run at Park View next month for grades 3-5! This empowering program helps girls build confidence, strengthen friendships, and develop healthy habits, all while training for a celebratory 5-kilometer run.

Spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Last year, the spots filled up quickly! If your daughter is interested, please register as soon as possible to secure her place. If you have any questions, please reach out to Mrs. Nemeth, Mrs. Tudor, or Mrs. Urso.

Reminder: Families can track bus arrival, travel with free app
In this cold weather, families are reminded that they can track their student’s bus trips to and from school with the free FirstView 1.0 busing app. The app can track the bus, show an estimated number of minutes until the bus will arrive, and send a notification when buses get to school.
Families using the FirstView app from last school year need to download the new version called “FirstView 1.0”. The app will track both regular-education and special-education busing. The code for CCSD 89 is: N6N3I
