As you can see, our Battlefield Bobcast has a new look! We've taken feedback from our students, staff and the community into consideration to streamline information as it appears in our digital newsletter.
Each week, any new reminders, announcements and updates will be listed on this page under the section below, titled with the same name, "New Reminders, Announcements & Updates." After one week, any relevant information will move to separate categorized pages located under the "Old Reminders, Announcements & Updates" section of this page. Simply click on the corresponding image to view more information.
In addition, under the section "Old Reminders, Announcements & Updates" is a link that will take you to a site that stores previous versions of the Bobcast.
We hope that you will enjoy the new look of the Battlefield Bobcast as must as we do!

Battlefield's AFJROTC Flag Detail
From before the first day of school, cadets from our school’s JROTC have been busy keeping alive the spirit of patriotism around our school. Last Friday at the USA Out football game, cadets Dylan Brown, Adriana Walter-Ortuno, Yashvir Sabharwal, and Matthew Graham, participated in an opening ceremonial Color Guard to show respect to our country and flag. Every school day, cadets oversee putting up and taking down flags in a brisk and respectful manner. Some of the regulations that cadets are taught regarding the flag include, but are not limited to: 1. No other flag or pennant should be placed above or, if on the same level, to the right of the flag of the United States of America 2. The flag, when carried in a procession with another flag or flags, should be on the marching right. 3. The flag should be displayed on all days, except when weather is inclement. If you would like to learn more or join our school’s Junior ROTC, you can contact your counselor or either instructor in room 1161. Our AFJROTC instructors are Col Dan Vasenko and SMSgt Dave Shuler.

PSAT Testing for 9th, 10th, and 11th Grades
On October 18th, Battlefield students in grades 9, 10 and 11 will participate in SAT-Prep testing (PSAT). The 9th grade students will take the PSAT 8/9 that establishes a starting point for college and career readiness while the 10th and 11th graders will take the PSAT/NMSQT test.
All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will test digitally in school. They must have a school-owned device to access and complete the test. In the weeks leading up to the PSAT during Flex, students will complete the pre administration questionnaire and make sure the testing application is accessible to the students. On the day of the test, students should bring their laptops fully charged.
For more information about the PSAT 9 test, visit the resources at College Board.
For more information about the PSAT 10/11 NMSQT visit the resources at College Board.
Day of the Test
All students are encouraged to get a good night’s rest and they should report directly to their testing locations at 7:30 a.m. Rosters will be posted in a location that we will disclose as we get nearer to test day.
It is important for students to arrive on time. There are no makeup days and times for the PSAT and students arriving late to school may not be admitted to a testing session. Late students will not be admitted to testing rooms once testing has started. In addition, once testing has begun, we will not be able to remove students from a testing session until the test is over, so please plan accordingly.
