Electronic Distractions

While I recognize that devices such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops play a crucial role in communication and learning, I request that students refrain from bringing electronic devices to school. They have begun to distract our learning environment.

Please know that Park Street and Marietta City Schools are not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of any personal electronic devices brought onto school premises. I encourage parents and guardians to discuss the potential risks of bringing such items to school with their children.

We recommend that students leave their expensive electronic devices at home to safeguard personal belongings. If a device is essential for educational purposes, we suggest exploring more secure options or contacting me to discuss possible alternatives.

I appreciate your understanding and cooperation on this matter. Your support is crucial in our shared mission to maintain a safe and focused learning environment where all our Panthers can LEARN * GROW * THRIVE!

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Your Proud Panther Principal,

Mr. Soto

Camp MAGIK

Camp MAGIK

Camp MAGIK provides a safe, nurturing environment where children can express their grief over the death of a loved one and begin the healing process. Campers not only get counseling from professionals but also experience real healing from being around other kids who have faced similar losses.

launch campmagik.org

Camp MAGIK is well suited to all youth ages 6 through 18 who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or other close loved one, especially youth who have experienced traumatic death within the last 3-4 years. Professional bereavement counselors, trained in grief and trauma, lead all counseling sessions. This is our 29th year providing this evidence-based service to the community.

There is also a retreat available for adults who want to process their own grief with other adults who are grieving.

Our camp sessions are FREE OF CHARGE to all participating children, adolescents and parents/guardians. Please share this information/announcement with families you feel may benefit from this FREE service for bereaved children and with other professionals as you see fit. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
