Ready or not… it’s time to trade late bedtimes for early alarms, pool days for school days, and “I’m bored!” for “Mom, where’s my backpack?” 😄

We are ROAR-ing with excitement to welcome our amazing Tiger families back for another unforgettable year at Oak Grove Elementary! Whether your child is walking through our doors for the very first time or is one of our seasoned Tigers, we can’t wait to fill this year with learning, laughter, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime.

At OGES, we’re more than a school—we’re a family. Together, we’ll celebrate big wins, tackle challenges, cheer each other on, and help every student grow into the very best version of themselves.

So sharpen those pencils, charge those Chromebooks, snap those first-day pictures, and get ready for a year full of adventure. We promise to love your children, challenge them, encourage them, and maybe send home a little glitter every now and then. (You’re welcome!)

• Please remember to place your white car tag in your window for afternoon dismissal. This will help our dismissal run more smoothly.
• We will allow parents to begin eating lunch with their student starting September 16 on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. The lunch price for adults this school year is $5.50 per Jefferson County CNP Department.
• Student breakfast and lunches are free for the 2026-2027 school year. Milk is included in the lunch; however, if your child wants only milk, they will have to purchase it for $1.00. We recommend having your child get a whole meal so the milk is free, with the understanding that they do not have to eat the meal.
• Please remember that school starts at 7:50 and ends at 2:50.
• If your child would like to eat breakfast, they will need to arrive at school no later than 7:30, as we stop serving breakfast at 7:40.
• Students are not allowed to check out after 2:20.

• August 10: Meet the Teacher
• August 12: 1st Day of School
• August 31-September 4: Homecoming Week
• September 7: Labor Day (No School)
• September 8: E-Learning Day
• September 25: Fall Individual/Group Pictures
