Welcome to 2025-26
Message from the Principal
Dear Skyline Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! I hope your summer has been filled with joy, adventure, and meaningful moments with family and friends. Whether you’re returning for another year or joining us for the first time, I want to extend a heartfelt welcome to our Skyline community—a place where students are seen, supported, and celebrated as leaders.
At Skyline, we are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment where all students are empowered to explore, learn, and lead with kindness. Our staff has been working hard this summer to prepare for an exciting year ahead—full of learning opportunities, leadership development, and community connection.
This year, we’ll continue to build on our school’s core values through The Leader in Me, fostering a culture where students take ownership of their learning and discover their voice. You’ll see this come to life in daily classroom routines, leadership roles across the school, and events that celebrate student growth and character.
We’re also excited to continue strengthening the partnership between home and school. Your involvement—whether through PTO, volunteering, or simply checking in on your child’s day—makes a profound difference. Together, we create the conditions for our students to thrive.

Starting the School Year Off Right!
Dear Skyline Families,
Welcome to a brand new school year! I’m so excited to see our students back in the building, ready to learn, grow, and build new connections. Whether your child is returning to Skyline or joining us for the first time, the beginning of the school year is a wonderful opportunity to set a positive tone and start strong—academically, socially, and emotionally.
Here are a few ways you can help your child start the school year off on the right foot:
🌟 Establish Routines Early – Predictable routines around sleep, meals, and homework help students feel safe, focused, and ready to learn.
🗣️ Talk About Feelings – It’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Encourage open conversations about what your child is looking forward to and any worries they may have.
🤝 Build Connections – Whether it's making a new friend or reconnecting with a favorite teacher, relationships are at the heart of a great school year. Ask your child about the people they interact with each day.
🎯 Set Positive Goals – Talk together about one or two goals for the year—whether it’s improving a skill, being a kind friend, or trying something new. Small, meaningful goals build confidence and motivation.
I’ll be checking in with students and classrooms throughout the year, and I’m always here to support you and your child. Please don’t hesitate to reach out with questions or if your child could use a little extra encouragement along the way.
Here’s to a year full of learning, laughter, and growth!
Warmly,
Ms. Deb Cox

Student Drop Off and Pick Up
As we begin the school year, I want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of safety during student drop-off and pick-up. These are some of the busiest times of the day on our campus, and it’s critical that we all work together to keep every child safe.
Please remember:
-
Follow posted procedures and staff directions. These routines are designed to keep traffic flowing smoothly and protect students walking to and from school.
-
Be patient. A few extra minutes of waiting is worth it if it ensures that every student arrives and leaves safely.
-
Use designated drop-off and pick-up areas. Stopping in unauthorized zones creates safety risks and slows traffic for everyone.
-
Stay alert. Avoid distractions such as cell phones while driving near the school.
-
Model respect and calm. Our children are watching how we handle busy or stressful situations.
By following these expectations, you help us create a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment for all. Thank you for doing your part to make drop-off and pick-up times safe and smooth for every student at Skyline.
