LMHS Updates

We are so close to the start of school on Monday, August 26th! Final preparations are underway for the start of a great school year. Just a reminder, as stated in the summer newsletter that went out via postal mail last week, the opening week looks like this:

• Monday, August 26 - Half Day for Students (dismissal at 11:26)
  All periods will meet on a reduced schedule, no lunches served.
  Students will be provided a fresh copy of their schedule at the start of the day.
• Tuesday, August 27 - Half Day for Students (dismissal at 11:26)
  All periods will meet on a reduced schedule, no lunches served.
• Wednesday, August 28 - Full Day
• Thursday, August 29 - Full Day
• Friday, August 30 - No School

First practices / tryouts will occur as listed below. Note that for all sports hosted at Lee, updated physicals (within the last 13 months) must be on file with the school in order for a student to participate. Students and families should also register on the FamilyID site.

• Football - begins Friday, 8/16, 5:00pm - 7:00pm
• Girls Soccer - Monday, 8/19, 9:00am - 11:00am
• Golf - Monday, 8/19, 1:00pm - 3:00pm @ Greenock
• Cross Country - Monday, 8/19, 9:00am - 11:00am
• Volleyball - Monday, 8/19:
• grades 7/8/9 (plus any 1st year players) - 9:00am - 11:00am
• grades 10/11/12 - 11:00am - 1:00pm
• Boys Soccer co-op @ Lenox - 8:00am
• Boys Soccer participants must register on the LENOX FamilyID site, and attend the LENOX fall sports night (date and time TBD).

The mandatory fall sports information night for all LEE teams (not Boys Soccer) is Monday, August 19 at 7:00pm in the LMHS Auditorium. Student-athletes and at least one parent/guardian must attend.

Teachers will provide students with supply lists during the first days of school as part of each class syllabus. In the meantime, students should be prepared with notebooks and writing utensils.

A reminder that students can pick up their Chromebook early on Monday and Tuesday, August 19 and 20, from 10:00am - 2:00pm. After that, students can pick up their Chromebook during the school day from Mrs. Locke in the Library. Students must have the completed Chromebook form (sent home in the summer mailing) in order to pick up their Chromebook. We strongly encourage purchasing the insurance plan for $25 for the year.

As a reminder, the 2024-2025 calendar is available on the web site, and is attached below. Also on our school web site, you can find the bell schedule and orange/black day schedule. The new Handbook will be available on the website before the start of the year.
