October is National Bullying Prevention Month

Greetings!

As we enter October, teachers and students are in the groove! Routines and rituals have been established and the students look great!

Upcoming events - We have community building days coming up soon! This is a great way to get involved and climb a mountain (or hill) with your child and the school community!

PreK - 2, October 23 - Neutaconkanut Park, Providence

3 & 4 - October 24 - Blue Hills, Canton MA

5 & 6 - October 25 - Blue Hills, Canton MA

In order to participate, we just need a recent background check from the Attorney General’s Office ( Across from the DMV in Cranston). It is a day of fun, community building and joy!

Read to Succeed - October 29, 5:00 pm. Please join us if you successfully completed the Read to Succeed Program over the summer! Light refreshments will be served.

Please label your child’s sweatshirts and coats. Our lost and found is already growing! This will ensure that your child gets back their own belongings.

BCBSRI Day of Service

We had an amazing day with 35 BlueCross BlueShield employees volunteering at our school on September 13th. They assisted with grades 3 - 6 completing the fitness gram. Ms. Nencka uses this to track the development of each student’s fitness. They also lead a vision board exercise to help students envision what they want for their future. Lastly, the volunteers taught a lesson on how to give back to the community and their families. It was such a positive experience for all! Our students were quite impressive and courteous. Love these kids!

We have many fun events planned for the month of October, make sure to check Class Dojo regularly for special announcements.

Saturday, October 26th is our Family Night at the RIFC soccer at Bryant University at 7:30pm against Miami!

It is just $10 per ticket. Less than a movie ticket!

We will all sit together.

Students can join the team as they take the field.
Students and families can take photos with the team mascot.
Students will be able to get player autographs at the end of the game!

And, anyone who wants to can plan a tailgate party before the game!

Thursday, October 31st - Join us for our 1st Harvest Fest at the P VD Campus from 4:30-6:00pm. We will have food vendors, raffles, DJ, activities and give aways. Stay tuned for more details.
