All in. Every day.
We look forward to continued partnership with you to be "All in. Every day". To support our learners, we appreciate working together.
Back to School Night
Back to School Night will be on Monday, August 24, 2026. 5:15 - 6:00 (A-M) / 6:00-6:45 (N-Z).
Fargo Schools has moved to Infinite Campus
Over the summer, Fargo Schools has switched from PowerSchool to Infinite Campus for all student information. As part of this transition, parents will be changing from using the PowerSchool Parent application to using Campus Parent.
The new Infinite Campus system is now live! Parents and guardians who are listed as primary contacts in PowerSchool for their children should have receivd an email in July from Fargo Schools with a link that will allow them to create their Campus Parent account. Once the Campus Parent account has been established, parents/guardians will be able to review summer forms in this new system.
For fees and lunch payments, SchoolPay will still be used. Please remember to check your junk mail if you have not received the past emails.
Milk for Classroom Breaks To Be Discontinued
Milk for classroom breaks will not be offered at our elementary schools next year. Currently, approximately 40% of the cost of the milk program is funded by the Fargo Public Schools. Due to declining resources, the program is no longer feasible to continue. Learners will continue to have access to drinking water following their school’s guidelines. The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program will continue to be offered at qualifying buildings and is typically provided during classroom breaks.
Healthy Smart Snack Items
Making good choices for snacks can be very helpful in your child's education. Every day students will have snack time and are welcome to bring a healthy snack from home. Snacks are encouraged to be purchased with a label attached to show the ingredents in the item. To ensure safety of students, families are NOT allowed to bring birthday or celebration food snacks to school for the class in accordance with the distrct's Wellness Policy (AP 3250). Please look at the policy prior to sending snacks or contact the Kennedy office with quesitons. On a FEW occassions, there will be days at Kennedy Elementary where sweet treats will be allowed. These dates will be shared with the parents by the classroom teacher. Please reserve the cake, ice cream, and sweets for celebrations outside of school.
Busing Information
Dear Families,
Fargo Public Schools uses “Here Comes the Bus” to track students who ride the bus. Students in grades K-5 who ride the bus will receive a bar-coded card; school staff will attach the card to a student’s backpack on the first day of school or the day that your child begins riding the bus. Students in grades 6-12 will use a student ID card to scan or input their lunch number on the bus keypad.
Students will scan each time they enter the bus. When students arrive at the school, they will not scan off the bus, but the bus driver will complete a walk-through of the bus to make sure all students are off the bus (this saves valuable time each morning). At the end of the school day, returning home, your student needs to scan on and off the bus. When students scan, we can, in real-time, know that they are either on the bus or have exited the bus. This provides another level of safety for our students. Please encourage your child to participate in the scanning process onto the bus in the morning and scanning both on and off the bus after school.
If your child needs a replacement card, please notify the school office. A replacement will be given to the child at their school.
Parents/guardians can download the “Here Comes the Bus” app, which notifies parents when their children are picked up and dropped off. Click here for instructions on how to set up Here Comes the Bus. Students can also download the app and view where their bus is located.
If you have any questions about this system, please call the school office.
Thank you,
Brad Johnson, Transportation Coordinator
