Blazer Bulletin for October 16-20

Dear Trail Blazer Community
Hello Blazer Nation!
Last week was a short week, jam packed with lots of activities on the Trail. This week marks the beginning of the second grading period and I would like to encourage all students to set new goals for themselves, and be intentional about seeking out instructional support from their peers and teachers as necessary.
Veterans Day
Lebanon Trail High School would love to honor the Veterans in our community on November 9 at 11:15am in our school library. Our Student Council, in collaboration with our Orchestra and NNDCC Military Program, will celebrate our Veterans with a musical performance, cards of gratitude, and lunch. Student family members of the Veterans will be excused from second period in order to attend.
Please complete this RSVP Form to let us know if you will be attending by November 1st.
Message from Frisco ISD Libraries
Frisco ISD strives to provide transparent and accessible information to parents and guardians. In an effort to continue to provide resources for our families, specifically in the library, we are updating our parent resources to provide you with access to a new feature that allows for guardians to create prohibited book lists. This list can include books that parents or guardians would like for their students to not read at this time. This feature creates another avenue for families to become involved in what their child is reading, and have more tailored access to library materials for their child.
For more information regarding this resource, please visit your campus website, and look for the icon titled Library Book Preferences. We hope that you find this resource to be a helpful tool and appreciate your partnership in ensuring that our library is a welcoming place for all children.

Extracurricular Activities
It is so great to see our students out supporting each other at extracurricular events. Just a reminder that as these are school sponsored events, the FISD dress code is still in place. While we love the participation of our students in designated spirit themes, please remember that these still must meet dress code standards. If there is an issue that must be addressed by the campus administration that we are unable to find a solution for, a student may be asked to leave the event. Also, a reminder that for athletic events, students must remain on the designated home or visitor side for the entire duration of the event. Students will be directed back to the designated side if determined to be in the wrong location or trying to cross over by campus administration. Students who disregard this direction by administrators may be asked to leave the event as per the FISD Student Code of Conduct.
