Dear Audubon Families,

We’ve had a full and exciting week at Audubon! Our Thanksgiving Food Drive wraps up on Friday, November 21, and we appreciate every donation that has come in to support our school. This week also marks a fun milestone—our Leadership Club students wrote their very first piece for our family memo. We’re proud of their voice and leadership!

With our first snow of the season, students were buzzing with excitement, and our extracurricular programs—STLP, Academic Team, and Choir—continue to thrive. If your child participates in any after-school activity, please remember to update Pik My Kid to reflect when they’re staying.

We’re also looking forward to celebrating the students who raised $100 or more on their Pick-A-Square fundraiser sheet. These students will enjoy a special movie in the gym this week as a thank-you for their hard work.

Be sure to check out both our PBIS and PTO parent newsletters included in this memo. In the coming weeks, we’ll be reaching out with several opportunities for families to volunteer and support school events. Your partnership means so much to us.

Finally, if you haven’t completed our needs assessment survey, please take a moment to do so. Your feedback helps us plan and grow in ways that best support our students.

Thank you for being such an important part of the Audubon family.

Our district is launching the Portrait of a Learner kickoff, and we are starting with a focus on Respect. We’ll be talking with students about what it means to show respect at school, at home, and in the community. We encourage you to join the conversation—ask your child how they can show respect to others through their words and actions each day.

Our Thanksgiving Food Drive runs from November 3rd–21st! We’re collecting food and hygiene items to help local families through the West Family Resource Center. Student Article spotlight

We’re excited to feature a special article on gratitude written by two of our Leadership Club members, Eastynn and Linda. Their words remind us what this season is all about!

Gratitude is being thankful for what you have in your life.Every monday Mrs.Velotta says “you can't be worried and grateful at the same time.” Some examples of things we are thankful for are family, friends, and school, also pets.Something we are also thankful for is nature and the places we go to.
