Admissions Open House

On February 8th, we have our admissions open house from 9:30 - 11:30. If you know of anyone interested in the elementary school, please inform them about our event.

Read to Succeed Winners

This year 4th grade won the “most in a grade to complete Read to Succeed” ice cream party. Not only did they all earn $1000 in a CollegeBound Fund, they got a delicious ice cream sundae!

Survey Works coming soon!

Survey Works is a way for us and the state of Rhode Island to collect information from students, families and staff. Please keep an eye out for this on Dojo and take a moment to share your thoughts on how we are doing. We are always looking to improve!

Valentine’s Day

Last year, we surveyed families about holidays and celebrating them in school. As a group, it was decided that as long as the holiday was not connected to religion, we could celebrate them. This was considering we have a diverse community and we want to respect everyone. With Valentine’s day coming up, students are invited to share valentines with each other. We ask that they don’t share candy. Other ideas for valentine treats if you want, stickers, pencils, erasers, pretzels, small puzzles, gold fish, etc. You are all so creative, so I am sure I am missing many great ideas.

Smart Watches

Please remember that smart watches and cell phones are not to be used during the school day by students. We have noticed some lovely looking watches on students, but they must be inactive during the day. We want our students to have complete attention on the learning in the classrooms. Thanks for your cooperation.

Family Engagement Family Engagement

It's hard to believe that January has already come to an end! We have had a very busy month, and we are accomplishing a lot each day that school is in session. Thank you to all the families that joined us for the meetings and celebrations we had in January. February is here and we are ready to keep learning and celebrating and supporting each other as a school community.

Is Your Emergency Contact Up to Date?

It is officially mid-year, and we are into the winter season. This is a great time to check your emergency contact and authorized pick up list on Skyward. Students can only be released to people who are listed on Skyward. Make sure you have a list of alternate people who can pick up your child in an emergency if you are not available. Traffic, health incidents, weather delays and general delays can happen to anyone at any time. If something completely unexpected were to happen to you during the day, who would be able to be at school for pickup in the afternoon? Please make sure your information is updated. For help with login to Skyward you can email tromero@hc.school or message me (Ms.Tatiana) on dojo. To make edits to your contact information on Skyward please reach out to schoollife@hc.school

Set your attendance goals for February!

We want to see everyone in school, on time, every day that you are well! We encourage everyone to come to school each day that school is in session, even if it is the day before or after a school vacation. Every day matters.

February attendance challenge, come to school every day on time for a chance to win a prize. Print the calendar for the month of February and track your attendance, submit your calendar to Ms. Tatiana at the end of the month to enter the raffle.
