Anne Arundel County Public Schools (AACPS) considers middle school schedule change requests strictly on a case-by-case basis. Changes are generally limited to

correcting academic misplacement, resolving incomplete schedules, repeating previously failed courses, or addressing documented extenuating circumstances requiring administrative and counselor approval.

If you would like to submit a schedule change request, please email Mrs. Tania Chandler at chandlert@monarchacademy.org. The request window will be open from

August 24th through September 8th. Submitting a request does not guarantee a change.

On Wednesday, August 19, 2026, Anne Arundel County Public Schools will transition from the

current PowerSchool Parent/Student Portal to PowerSchool’s My PowerHub for students and

families. This upgrade provides access to the same student information through a modernized portal.

Parents are encouraged to use the Forgot

Password feature within My PowerHub to reset their password independently.

If additional assistance is needed, schools and families may contact

parentportal@aacps.org for support with account access, login issues, and general My

PowerHub questions.

**MGA dismisses at 11:55 am for all AACP early dismissal (half days, two hour early dismissal days) calendar days.

August 24th-31st- Conferences/staggered openings for Kindergarten students (Check email from classroom teacher for the day your student should attend. Please do not send your student to school on the days they are not scheduled)

August 25th-School open for grades 1-12

September

September 7th-Labor Day (Schools Closed)

September 21st-Yom Kippur (Schools Closed)

September 22nd-30th PTA Global Boosterthon

September 30th: PTA Boosterthon Event Day

Delivery
Orders will be delivered to Monarch Global Academy on or before October 30 and sent home with students through their homeroom teacher to help keep costs low. Direct shipping is not available.

Hello, MGA Middle School families,

It's not too early to start thinking about MS athletics for the 2026-2027 school year! The school year will be here before you know it. Basketball tryouts will begin on August 31, just one week after school begins!

Action Required: 2026/2027 MGA Transportation Survey

If you have not yet submitted your student's transportation plans for the 2026/2027 school year, please complete the survey as soon as possible for each child attending MGA.

• Alternating Schedules: If your student uses different modes of transportation throughout the week, please indicate this in the final survey question. It is critical that we have an accurate dismissal plan for every student.

• Temporary Changes: For day-to-day or temporary dismissal updates, please email dismissalchange@monarchacademy.org. Otherwise, your student will be dismissed based on the recorded survey plan.

Please disregard this message if you have already submitted a completed detailed transportation survey.

Drivers will not allow our k-2 students to leave the bus without an adult there to meet the student.
