THE BEAR ESSENTIALS
Week of March 17, 2025
Dear Bear Families,
Spring is definitely in the air. It was nice to see all of the spring sports teams getting to practice in the sun this week. We hope that this weather continues into our break at the end of next week.
Speaking of the break, we want to remind all students to continue to work hard the last four days next week. Those four days of hard work will be rewarded with a 10-day break from school. The school year really speeds up once we hit April, and we want all students to begin the spring season in a positive place.
State-mandated testing will take place on April 9, 10, and 11. This includes the SAT, PSAT10, and PSAT9. We have included the schedule for testing week below. Please have conversations with your students about the importance of these tests and how having a positive outlook can go a long way. Teachers will be having these similar conversations with students in weeks to come.
Expect the next issue of The Bear Essentials to hit your inbox on Thursday next week because there is no school on Friday.
Have a great weekend and as always, Go Bears!
Mr. Reynolds, Mr. Hickey, Ms. Wojtowicz, & Mr. Schley

Spring Testing takes place April 9-11
The 2025 state mandated testing for 9th-11th grade students is fast approaching. These tests are a district and state requirement for ALL students. The normal school schedule will be affected during these testing days. Please read the letter below for more information.
Student Parking
As the school year goes on we have more students getting their drivers license and beginning to drive to school. Students that drive to school should have a school parking permit which they can get form Mrs. Morris at the front desk. Additionally, students should be parking in the student lot. This is the lot behind the visitor's bleachers of the football field. Students should NOT park in the staff lot near front of the school and should NOT park in the athletic lot near the new gym.
We have many staff members that go from one building to the next during the school day. We also have parents that need to stop by the school for drop offs or meetings. For this reason we need to have open spaces in the lot in the front of the school.
Please speak with your student about parking in the appropriate place to avoid consequences and possibly a parking ticket.
