I hope you and your children had a wonderful break! 2025 is here and cold weather is as well. It is so important for you and your children to find ways to remain active even during the winter months. Activity is not only good for your physical health, but also for your mental health. Fortunately in Arkansas, our winter’s are usually fairly mild and you can always bundle up and layer clothing and get outside to stay active. If it is too cold for you and your children, there are some great ideas for indoor activities in the link below. Another fun idea is to search for GoNoodle or Kids Bop dance videos on Youtube. Stay warm and keep moving!

Ideas for Indoor Activities

There may have been snow on the ground this last week, but there was still plenty to do in the world of gardening. Winter is a time of reflection, planning, and supply gathering for gardeners. Our school garden is no different! There is work going on behind the scenes. For example, a group of our students have been working on a business plan for a seed company. They are planning to sell zinnia seeds at our annual Spring Plant Sale! Over the next few weeks/months they will be gathering the supplies they need to package their seeds and developing a business plan to sell them. So, be on the lookout for them this year at our plant sale in April! Are you starting to make plans for your spring garden yet? Save a spot for some of our CLE seeds/plants!
