Parents and Guardians:

Thank you so much for supporting our school with Boosterthon. I was amazed to learn our school has been participating in Boosterthon for 18 years! This year, our efforts will help us restore our school's basketball courts, which I know the students will love.

We began our half day training today by announcing our Teacher of the Year, Dr. Fairweather. We are so proud of her! Please know all of our teachers here at Butler work so hard for your children. They stay late, put in the effort, go above and beyond, and make learning fun.

Our Resiliency word of the month for November is Gratitude, and if you have time, please consider sending a word of gratitude to a teacher or other school staff member that helps make a difference in your child's life. Words of encouragement mean so much to us, and if keeps us going!

I hope everyone has a safe and Happy Halloween!

Florida is leading a first-in-the-nation approach that empowers students to persevere and overcome life’s inevitable challenges. The Florida Department of Education developed state education standards and resources to equip students with skills that build resiliency.

Teachers will find ways to incorporate opportunities to demonstrate "gratitude" into their lessons, and we appreciate it if parents can encourage it as well!
