Worthington Hills Weekly Update
October 2, 2026
Dear Worthington Hills Families,
What a week at WHES! Our fundraiser Field Day Celebration was a wonderful reminder of what makes our school community so special. A huge thank you to our PTA and all the volunteers who helped make the celebration possible, and to our families for your generous donations. Your support helps provide fun, engaging learning experiences and special opportunities for our students throughout the year. We are so grateful!
On Thursday, our second graders brought their CKLA learning to life with our Second Grade Olympics! Students participated in Olympic inspired events, including shot put, long jump, and javelin. It was a fun way to connect their classroom studies to hands on experiences.
Looking ahead, elementary conferences are next week. We encourage all families to attend and take advantage of this valuable time to connect with your child's teacher, celebrate growth, and discuss ways to support continued learning.
Thank you for being such an important part of our Hawkeye family. Have a wonderful weekend!
Gratefully,
Aquarius Hopkins
Principal

Thank you, WHES community!
We are so grateful for your incredible support of our annual PTA fundraiser. Thanks to the generosity of our WHES families and community, we were able to raise almost $27,000 for our school!
These funds make it possible for the PTA to support so many programs that make WHES special, including field trips, classroom enhancements, end-of-year celebrations, Family Fun Night, teacher appreciation, alumni scholarships, and so much more.
Our WHES traditions are a huge part of what makes our school community so exceptional, and we simply could not continue them without your support. Every donation truly makes a difference and helps create meaningful experiences for our students and staff.
Thank you for showing up for WHES and for investing in our school community!

We are a NUT FREE District
This serves as a reminder that there are some students in your child’s school who have peanut and/or tree nut allergies. As the safety of our children is paramount to all, we need your support to make our cafeteria “nut free”. A child with a nut allergy can suffer a serious reaction merely by touching a food containing a peanut or tree nut. Therefore, we ask that you adhere to the following safety guidelines:
Please do not send in any peanuts, peanut butter or foods containing peanuts or peanut butter to be eaten during lunch.
Read ingredient labels carefully to ensure that the snacks sent in with your child are peanut and tree nut-free.
Please do not hesitate to contact our Health Office Assistant, Gabby Bowman, RN @ gbowman@wscloud.org or our School Nurse, Beth Laflumboise RN @ elaflumboise@wscloud.org with any questions or concerns about food allergies. They can also be reached at 614-450-4015.
