Victor and Johanna Champagne, Class of 2013: High School Friends, Now Married and Expecting!
We met in 8th grade and dated for two weeks while at Dudley Middle School then became great friends throughout high school at Shepherd Hill. The high school photo is from the 2013 NHS induction. Victor still wears that suit! We both attended and graduated from UMass Amherst in 2017. Victor studied mechanical engineering and Johanna studied Biochemistry.
During college, we remained close and even lived together in a suite one year with a few other friends. At the end of our senior year, we decided to try out dating again. It ended up going really well – well enough that we got married on August 9, 2020!
Our engagement photos, were taken at UMass by Victor’s sister, Grace Champagne (Class of 2017). We live in Cambridge, MA and are both currently in graduate school – Victor is in his 4th year at Harvard studying materials science and Johanna is also in her 4th year at Northeastern University studying Marine and Environmental Science. We are expecting our first child, a baby boy, in early March of 2023! We are so grateful for the Shepherd Hill community and the amazing friends and memories we made there.

She recently got married in October, 2022 and is expecting a baby girl in April, 2023. Nicole visits her family several times of year back here in Massachusetts, but has truly made the west coast her home. You can follow Nicole's journey on her Instagram @recreatingnicole.
Nick Tavares ('15) Following his Passion for Photography in Nashville
After graduating from SHRHS, I moved to Nashville, TN to pursue an acting/ music career. In 2019, I starred in Investigation Discovery, An American Murder Mystery Pamela Smart trial as the killer, Billy Flynn (https://www.investigationdiscovery.com/show/pamela-smart-an-american-murder-mystery-investigation-discovery-atve-us). In 2021, after going to one of my friends' EDM shows and taking a few photos on my phone and editing them, my friends stated they loved the photos and said that I have a great eye for photography. I decided to pursue this passion a little more and received my first camera, a Rebel Canon t6 which was handed down to me from my brother. I took that camera and started taking photos of my friends shows in Nashville.
I started to pursue this passion as a full-time, freelancing photographer and started to work with some bigger venues such as Dirty Little Secret and Dogwood. I then upgraded my camera and started to grow my business bigger and bigger. I have had the chance to work with some amazing venues in Nashville such as Whiskey Row, Jason Aldean's, Luke Bryan's 32 Bridge, Casa Rosa, FGL House, and Tequila Cowboy. I have also had the privilege to have worked with Music City Grand Prix, Whiskey Jam, Breakaway Music Festival, Haunted Festival, Tri Star Production Group, and Blended Music Festival. In doing these festivals, I have had the opportunity to shoot some big artists such as The Chainsmokers, Pitbull, Tim McGraw, Brantley Gilbert, Two Friends, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki, Lil Jon and many more. Right now I am on tour with an EDM act called MC4D. We have been touring the SEC colleges the last month or two.

Brooke (Packard) Coughlin ('14) Comes Back to The Hill to Share her Entrepreneurial Journey
Class of 2014 graduate, Brooke (Packard) Coughlin visited Mr. Frank Damelio's Entrepreneurship class to discuss her journey from pursuing her lifelong dream of becoming an educator to the multi-business owner she is today, offering much inspiration and valuable words of wisdom.
After graduating from Shepherd Hill, Brooke attended Nichols College. She cleaned houses while attending school. Once she became a full-time teacher, Brooke didn't want to give up her cleaning business. In 2017, Brooke established B. P.'s Easy Living Corporation, a residential and commercial cleaning and event planning company. After a few years of teaching, Brooke left the profession to dedicate herself to entrepreneurial business ventures.
Today, B. P.'s Easy Living Corporation is a six-figure company with more than a dozen employees. Brooke is also a realtor serving Massachusetts and Connecticut with the Byrnes Real Estate Group where she surpassed 10 million in sales earlier this year.
As a successful business owner with a strong background in real estate, Brooke and her husband actively invest in real estate, renovating and leasing properties. Earlier this year, Brooke helped establish Romantic Weekend Stays, LLC, a full-service vacation rental service property company. Working 12-16 hour days, Brooke is well on her way to her goal of "40 doors in 5 years."
Brooke brought her contagious enthusiasm (and donuts, thank you!) to a large class of business-bound students with whom she shared valuable advice from the experiences she has encountered over the past eight years. From "your network is your net worth" to recommended podcasts and books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad, much of what Brooke shared reinforced what Mr. Damelio already teaches his students. Brooke also shared her ideas on how to start building credit, creative ways to invest in real estate as a first-time homeowner, and strategies on how to become a millionaire.
Congratulations, Brooke, on your many achievements! We wish you continued success as you work toward your dream of financial freedom!

Lesli Patrock, Class of 2007, Talks about her Journey from SHRHS to the Tatnuck Beauty Collective!
My name is Lesli Morgan Patrock, but some of you may know me as Lesli Morgan Makeup on social media! After graduating from SHRHS, I continued my education at Worcester State University where I was a double major in Education and Sociology. While in college, I quickly realized my passion was beauty and started taking make-up clients. I also started working for Sephora and quickly fell in love with the education side of beauty. While working at Sephora I went back to school for my esthetics license. After taking my boards and earning my license, I started renting a room in a hair salon where I offered facials, waxing, makeup and brow services.
In 2011, I took on my first wedding client, providing make-up services for the bride and her entire bridal party. My bridal business quickly exploded and I needed to expand.
I found a new space in Tatnuck Square, in Worcester, and moved my business where I went from renting one small room to having four other girls renting with me in my new space! Just about two years later, the building became available to purchase and I jumped on the opportunity! Now I am proud to say we have an incredible skincare studio called the Tatnuck Beauty Collective! We offer makeup services for prom, weddings, or other special events, as well as facials, waxing, lash extensions, massage and even laser hair removal! We are a little hidden gem!
If I was going to give anybody some advice, I would tell you that feeling of being uncomfortable is a totally normal thing. A lot of the times I think we get stuck in a routine and we don’t challenge ourselves because we become concerned about stepping out of our comfort zone. STEP OUT! The most amazing outcomes will happen!

Blast from the Past from 1993!
Epic Senior Music Department Prank Remembered
More than thirty years have passed and nobody can remember whose idea it was. What we can remember is that very early one morning, a ram from Pleasant View Farm was transported to The Hill in the back of Michael Chapdelaine’s hatchback Subaru. Another vehicle transported a bale of hay and a sheep pen. With a little help from Mr. Thibadeau, who made sure doors were unlocked, we rearranged the Music Office to accommodate the pen and threw down a tarp to protect the floor before spreading the hay.
Once preparations were complete, Chris Russell was in charge of carrying the ram from the Subaru into the Music Office. “I remember smelling like farm for the day,” said Chris. Steve Konicki added, “If I recall correctly, we even had enough time to make a Dunkin's run after we were done. I remember all of the faculty coming down to see.” (In those days, that meant a trip to Webster because the Dudley Dunkin's was still Dwyer’s at that point.)
The lunch ladies kept the ram fed with veggies and the ram was safely returned home at the end of the day after receiving lots of pets from onlookers. I think even Connie and Stew enjoyed having him around. Students would hear about the prank for years to come, and even my own daughter heard about it in Middle School! We made so many memories in our years together in the music department, but this is definitely one of the most cherished.
