Faith, Fun, and a Little School Spirit!
We're closing out October with a week full of opportunities to celebrate, connect, and grow! This week brings Red Ribbon Week, Spirit Week, and Week of Prayer, giving our students a chance to show their school spirit while taking time to focus on their relationship with God.
Basketball practices are underway, and our BAS Fun Run is just one week away! We hope our families will join us on Sunday, November 1, for a morning of fun and fundraising. Don't forget to share your student's pledge page with friends and family!
“To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.” — Micah 6:8
As we celebrate Week of Prayer, let's encourage our students to think about what it means to live out their faith each day. Showing kindness, standing up for what's right, offering forgiveness, and putting others first are all ways we can reflect God's love.
Our faith isn't just something we talk about—it's something we live!
Meet Our Week of Prayer Speaker!
We are excited to welcome Pastor Jonny Wilczynski, Campus Ministries Director and Pastor at North Tampa Christian Academy, as our guest speaker for Week of Prayer, October 26–30!
This year's theme, “In Step: Rhythms of Rest,” focuses on Matthew 4:4. We look forward to a meaningful week as our students spend time growing in their faith and learning to walk more closely with God!
Fun at The Perot!
🏃♂️💙💛 Join us for our first BAS Fun Run on Sunday, November 1, from 9–11 AM! Come run, walk, or cheer on our Bobcats while supporting Christian education at BAS!

Parent Partnership: Building an Inner Compass
As parents and educators, we spend a lot of time teaching children the difference between right and wrong. But the real goal isn't simply getting them to follow the rules when adults are watching. It's helping them develop the confidence and character to make good choices on their own.
As we recognize Red Ribbon Week and Week of Prayer, it's a great time to have conversations at home about values, friendships, and decision-making.
One of the most helpful questions we can ask our children is, "What would you do if...?" Talk through situations they might encounter, such as a friend encouraging them to break a rule, someone being left out, or the temptation to follow the crowd.
Rather than immediately telling them the right answer, give them a chance to think it through. Ask what might happen next, how their choice could affect others, and whether they'd feel good about that decision afterward.
Our goal isn't to make every decision for our children. It's to help them build the character and confidence to make wise decisions for themselves.
Hot Lunch Volunteers Needed!
We are so grateful for our Hot Lunch volunteers! As a reminder, groceries are ordered on Sundays for the upcoming week, based on the volunteers who have signed up. While we always appreciate last-minute help, it can be difficult to provide Hot Lunch when the necessary groceries haven't been ordered.
If you're able to volunteer, please sign up before Sunday! This helps us plan ahead, purchase the right supplies, and offer Hot Lunch to our students as often as possible.
Thank you for helping make our Hot Lunch program possible!

10 Days of Thankfulness: Giving Back!
This November, BAS is partnering with Adventist Community Services and Texas Conference Education for our 10 Days of Thankfulness service project! From November 3–14, we're inviting students and families to donate items to create Comfort Kits for individuals in need. Items can be brought in daily or all at once—whatever works best for your family!
We also welcome monetary donations, which will help us purchase additional supplies and ensure that every student can participate, regardless of their family's ability to contribute.
On November 18, our students will work together to assemble the Comfort Kits into blessing bags for those in need. Check out the flyer for the donation list, and help us teach our students that thankfulness is about more than what we have—it's also about what we can give!
