Inspiring Learners ~ Building Futures
Ms. Black's ELSS class
To celebrate Valentine's Day, Ms. Black’s class practiced the ancient art of sending a letter using the post office. We wrote Valentine's letters to a family member at home, addressed our envelopes, waited in line at the post office to buy stamps, and mailed our letters. Fingers crossed they made it!
Read-A-Thon
Monday, March 2nd was the start of our Read-A-Thon at Royal Manor. If you haven't gotten started, don't worry. There is still another week left. Royal Manor Honors Perfect Attendance
School attendance matters and missing a day of school here and there may not seem like much, but absences add up! We encourage our students to show up to school on time and be ready to learn every day. We decided to start honoring those students who are able to achieve perfect attendance each month. We celebrated students with perfect attendance for the month of February in our Town Hall meetings on February 27th. Every student with perfect attendance for the month of February should have come home with a certificate celebrating their achievement. We also started a perfect attendance bulletin board that will showcase our monthly perfect attendance earners. Please celebrate the success of these students and encourage everyone to strive for perfect attendance for the month of March.
Helpful Guidelines For School Attendance
Spread the Word
Each year, Gahanna celebrates National Spread the Word Inclusion Day. This national campaign promotes the belief that all people have value, deserve respect and to be included! We encourage all those that would like to purchase Spread the Word shirts to do so and wear them on our assembly day, which is Friday, May 8th. You can follow the link below to order your shirt and can even have it delivered to Royal Manor by indicating your child's homeroom teacher.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2026/2027 school year officially opened on February 23rd. If you have a student who will be 5-years-old on or before August 20, 2026, you may register them for Kindergarten.

Once you get your student enrolled, Royal Manor will be hosting a Kindergarten Kick-off event on Monday, April 27th. This is a great time to check out the school and the Kindergarten classrooms.
GEAR Gardens Coming Soon to Royal Manor
You may have noticed some small marker flags in the Royal Manor greenspace on the north side of the parking lot. GJEF is gathering soil samples as part of early planning for a future greenhouse at the site—designed to support hands-on learning for our GJPS GEAR interns as well as provide an exciting opportunity for all students (K-12) to learn about agriculture. The project will be funded through Gahanna-Jefferson Education Foundation (GJEF) along with private donations. We’ll share more information as the design and review process moves forward. For more information about GEAR visit www.geargardens.org/master-plan. For more information about GJEF visit www.gjef.org.
Thank you for your curiosity and support!
Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP)
The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides a variety of free, fresh fruit and vegetable snacks to children. Our school will deliver FFVP snacks along with short nutrition lessons. This encourages children to try new foods, learn about seasonal produce, and set healthy eating habits to last a lifetime.
The Goal of the FFVP is to create healthier school environments by providing healthier choices to students by:
• Expanding the variety of fruits and vegetables children experience.
• Increasing children’s fruit and vegetable consumption
• Making a difference in children’s diets to impact their present and future health

Lunchtime Reminder
1. Please make sure you and your student know what their plans are for lunch each day so they can make the appropriate choice when they get to school. You can reference the links above to see what is being served each day.
2. Please note that changes cannot be made once your student gets to the cafeteria. The lunch staff has prepared what is needed for the day so as not to create a lot of waste.
3. If you know your student is going to be late to school due to an appointment, please let the office or teacher know if they are going to be getting any type of school lunch. There are times the cafeteria is unable to accommodate late additions, especially if your student would like an alternative meal.

PBIS INFORMATION!
Each month, we focus on a specific characteristic and how students can demonstrate that characteristic to earn Golden Tickets. The characteristic for February is "Respectful. Responsible. Safe". Please ask your students how they can be respectful, responsible and safe at Royal Manor and if they earned any tickets. If they did, please celebrate that with them as earning a ticket is a big deal!
Students are expected to be respectful, responsible and safe at all times by doing the following:
1) Hands and all body parts are kept to yourself at all times!
2) Walking in the halls
3) If something seems wrong, tell an adult
4) Play by the rules, and fairly at all times
