Principal Corner

Dear Smith Stallions,

We hope each of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and were able to spend time with your families and friends.

Upcoming Events:

Santa Pictures: Santa will be at TGS for pictures on December 3rd. You should have received a flyer in your child's take home folder with purchasing information. If you need additional information, please reach out to your child's teacher or call the office. We'll be happy to help!
Caroling on the Creek in Downtown Springdale: This event will be happening this Friday, December 3, 2021. Our 5th grade students will be performing at approximately 5:45 p.m. at Shiloh Square, Turnbow Park and Emma Street. Admission is FREE! Come join us as we listen to various schools sing Christmas Carols. Please note: If you have a 5th grade student who will be singing, your child should meet at Shiloh Museum (118 W. Johnson Ave, 72764) no later than 5:05 p.m. Shiloh Museum is located North of Shiloh Square.
'Tis The Season to WIN: In the coming weeks before Christmas break, we will be giving out fun prizes to teachers and staff! We would like to bless teachers and staff with fun items such as small gift cards (Ex. $5.00 gift cards to Sonic, 7Brew, Starbucks), candy, or holiday-themed items. If you would like to donate an item to support this fun time before break, please send it to school with your child. Be sure to write who it is from so that we can thank you!

PTA FOOD DRIVE

We had a very successful PTA Food Drive! We were able to keep a stock of food for our TGS Drive By Food Pantry and we also donated a LARGE amount of food to the Soul Food Pantry at Elm Springs First United Methodist Church and Springdale Caudle Avenue Baptist Church: Little Free Pantry. Thank you Smith Families for helping us collect enough food to donate to these two incredible food pantries that serve our Springdale Community.

A message from Caudle Avenue Baptist Church: Little Free Pantry--

“Our pantry has stayed well-stocked this week because of the T.G. Smith students and staff. We can’t thank everyone enough for loving Springdale families as much as we do.”
