Welcome to the SD Catholic Learning Support E-news!

Mission: The Learning Support Network promotes the inclusion of children with varying needs and abilities in Catholic Schools by providing a forum for networking, professional learning, and collaborative support for school personnel in the Diocese of San Diego.

October is National Disabilities Awareness Month

We will be encouraging SD Catholic Schools to celebrate "SD Catholic Disabilities Awareness Day" on October 24. More details coming soon! #allarewelcome

We now have an SD Catholic Professional Learning website which has information about all professional learning initiatives. Check out the Learning Support page here.

1st General Learning Support Meeting of 2017-2018

Join us as we discuss best practices for inclusion across the SD Catholic K-16 landscape. We will have representatives from USD, Cathedral, OLP, Mater Dei, and K-8 schools present to engage in structured professional learning. Please share this flyer with teachers & administrators from your school and encourage them to join us! :-)

How can you start a Learning Support Program at your school?

Our Learning Support Steering Committee has worked to create flowcharts of the recommended steps for starting a learning support program at your school. Check out the flowcharts here. Each of the flowcharts references pages in our general learning support handbook which can be accessed on our SD Catholic LS Website.
