- Innovative problem solvers: An SHS graduate is resourceful.
- Ethical decision makers: An SHS graduate thinks deeply and makes informed decisions.
- Effective communicators: An SHS graduate listens actively, speaks and writes clearly and respectfully.
- Productive collaborators: An SHS graduate engages with others to achieve common goals.
From the Principal
Dear Families,
As we approach the end of the school year, there’s much to celebrate, and it’s also important to stay focused and continue the hard work needed to finish strong.
Students, make sure to take advantage of all available academic resources. If you have questions about your progress, reach out to your teachers sooner rather than later; they’re here to help you succeed!
A quick reminder: Our final Parent Partnership Council meeting is Tuesday, May 20 at 5:30 pm in the SHS Library. Feel free to park in the staff lot on the north side of the front office (off 7th Street) and enter through the double doors.
The agenda will include:
-
A recap of the school year
-
Recent student climate survey results
-
Focus areas for next year
We value your partnership and would love to hear your feedback on your experience and how we can improve it. Refreshments will be provided!
I look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
Principal da Silva

Each student will be assigned a grade-level Advisory teacher who will work with the same small group of students throughout the year. Advisory will take place daily for just over 30 minutes, following a short passing period after first period.
What Students Can Expect:
- A consistent space to connect with peers and a trusted adult
- SHARP TIME
- Grade-level content focused on high school success and post-secondary planning
More details will be shared as we move closer to the fall launch!

Congratulations OHSET
Congratulations the our amazing equestrian team!
This past weekend, our athletes were recognized at the South Valley District Awards Banquet, where they were honored for their outstanding performances throughout the season. The South Valley District is made up of 23 schools, and athletes accumulate points at each event they compete in over the course of the season. These points are then totaled, and awards are distributed at the banquet to celebrate their dedication and achievements.
We’re proud to share that three of our athletes received top honors this year:
-
Sophomore Sophia Baxter (left) joined the 200 Point Club
-
Senior Nic Cole (center) earned a spot in the 400 Point Club
-
Sophomore Anna Cole (right) reached the 500 Point Club and also earned 1st Place in the District for Performance
These student-athletes have been training and competing since November, and it was truly rewarding to see their hard work recognized. Congratulations to all!
