Lord, the stars in the sky and the life on this earth show your great power.
Thank you for making a universe that is rich, deep, and full of order.
Give our students sharp minds and clear focus.
Give our teachers the joy of sharing truth and sparking curiosity.
Guide all researchers, doctors, and inventors.
Help them use their skills to protect life and help the poor.
Keep their work honest, safe, and kind.
St. Albert the Great, patron of scientists, pray for us.
May our search for how things work bring us closer to you, the Maker of all.
Amen.
Principal's Message
I am pleased to welcome Angelica Jie who will be teaching Year 6B for the remainder of the year. We look forward to getting to know Angelica and I’m sure the students in 6B are delighted with her arrival.
The School Disco organised by the P&F on Friday night was such a wonderful event and it was great to see so many families attend. Thank you to the P&F Executive and the many parent helpers on the night. Without your help these large events cannot happen. Thank you also to the staff who were able to attend on the night. We thoroughly enjoyed busting a few moves.
Congratulations to our Year 3 students on receiving their Sacrament of Reconciliation on Tuesday. It was a lovely liturgy, and we are so grateful for the support we receive from our families. Special thanks to class teachers, Assistant Principals, catechist coordinator and Father Sam.
As we continue to support our students to grow into respectful, responsible and caring young people, I encourage parents to have regular conversations with their children about making good choices. Remind them that every choice, whether big or small, has consequences and can impact themselves and others. Encourage your child to think before they act, consider how their words and actions may make others feel, and choose kindness, respect and responsibility. At school, we will continue to support students to understand expectations, reflect on their choices and learn from their mistakes. We ask that families reinforce these messages at home so that we are working together to create a positive, safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and supported. Together, we can empower our children to make thoughtful decisions, take responsibility for their actions and contribute positively to our school community each day.
Lastly, have a lovely long weekend. Students return Tuesday, August 25.
Kind regards
Rika Andres
