Game Guidelines for the Parkway Central High Games
A Message from Principal Smith
Parents,
We've been so happy to see all the great things happening in our classrooms! From team-building games to exciting science experiments and engaging projects, our students are truly thriving and enjoying their learning. Speaking of cool opportunities, Parkway has a study abroad trip for this summer. You can find a link with more information below.
We're also working hard to build a stronger community with all of you, so please follow our Facebook and Instagram pages to see what's happening around the school.
A huge thank you to our incredible parent volunteers and PTO! Your time and effort make a massive difference, and we couldn't do it without you.
As students have settled into the school year, we've noticed an increase in physical contact, like rough horseplay. To keep all students safe and create a respectful environment, we need everyone to remember our school-wide expectation: keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself. Please reinforce this rule at home by talking with your student about the importance of personal space and appropriate contact.
Thank you again for your support in keeping our school a safe and positive place for everyone.
Have a wonderful weekend!

1. To begin the volunteer process, click this link which will direct you to information on how to get signed up with Raptor .Raptor is our volunteer tracking system. If you do not have a response within 48 hours of submitting your online application, please be sure to check your spam folder.
As a regular volunteer, your primary location will be where you are wanting to spend the majority of your time. The following volunteer categories are by invitation only and you will need to select your primary location according to the list below (you can mark actual building locations under "other preferred volunteer locations"):
Athletics/Extra Duty - Unpaid Volunteers - Select "Athletics"extra Duty" as your primary location.
Fine Arts - Select "Fine Arts" as your primary location
OASIS - Select "OASIS" as your primary location
Vendors/Consultants - Select "Vendors/Consultants" as your primary location.
2. Please be aware that the appropriate background checks are required based on current legislation. Missouri Automated Criminal History Site (MACHS) FBI fingerprint background checks are mandated by Missouri Statute 168.133. Please contact Karen Crews (kcrews1@parkwayschools.net) if you have any questions. If prints were done through another entity, you will still need to get them done using the Parkway code in order for us to view your background results and get notifications when things change on your background report.
3. As part of the volunteer approval process, you will be required to complete two online training sessions through Vector Solutions. When you review the Volunteer Guidelines (link shown above) more information is provided. Once you submit your volunteer application, you will receive an email with more information and a link to the training site.
4. Once you have been approved to volunteer, please reach out to the volunteer coordinator at your building. You must be approved before you can volunteer. You will receive an email notification from Raptor donotreply@raptortech.com when you are approved.

Calling All Gardeners!
Do you have perennials in your yard that could be split and shared? The PTO and Beautification Committee are working to make the front of our school welcoming and beautiful for the new school year. We have a large space to fill and would love any perennial donations you may have. If you have extras in your backyard, we’d be happy to give them a new home at the school.
You can drop them off at school or email brittany@pcms-pto.com and we’ll gladly arrange for pick up.
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated perennials for the front of our school! Your generosity is helping us make our campus more welcoming and beautiful for our students, staff, and community. We will continue accepting perennial donations through Thanksgiving break, so please keep them coming. There is a gray bin by the hose in front of the school where you can drop them off. Together, we’re creating something lasting and special—thank you for helping our school shine!
We need YOU to make this school year Amazing!
The PCMS PTO is looking for volunteers to chair or co-chair the following committees:

6th Grade Representative – Be the voice and support for our 6th grade families.
Want to help but not alone? You can co-chair with a friend!
