🌰 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE 🌰 PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear MGES Families,

I want to apologize, as it appears that last week’s Chipmunk Chat was sent only to our staff and did not reach our families. This issue has now been corrected moving forward. All previous Chipmunk Chat newsletters can be accessed through the UD app in the Feed section.

You won’t want to miss this year’s Science Fair! Join us on Thursday, March 12, from 6:00–7:30 PM in the gym for an exciting evening celebrating science. In addition to a wonderful array of student projects, there will be many demonstrations and interactive exhibits to explore. Families can check out telescopes, meet a robotic dog, experiment with a stream table, try coding, and much more. We hope you’ll stop by and experience the excitement of the Science Fair!

Best regards,
Mr. Perez

💡HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE GLEN 💡HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE GLEN

Read Across America Week

We had a wonderful time celebrating Read Across America Week as students participated in a variety of fun activities that highlighted the joy of reading. Throughout the week, students enjoyed themed days such as Hat Day, Read with a Buddy, Wear a Shirt from a Place You Visited, our creative Vocabulary Parade, and a cozy Pajama Day to wrap up the celebration. It was great to see students excited about books and sharing their love of reading with one another. Students have also been working hard to complete their reading logs, and we are grateful for the continued support from our families in encouraging reading at home. Thank you for helping make this a meaningful and enjoyable week for our students.

🏥 Health Office Information 🏥 Health Office Information

Hi Chipmunk Families,

The season of illness is still upon us, and this time of year we tend to see an increase in strep, flu, and COVID cases. If your child is experiencing symptoms, please consider testing and notify the Health Office of any positive results so we can monitor trends and support our classrooms. Thank you for continuing to keep your children home when they are not feeling well as it truly helps protect our entire school community.

For your reference, I’ve attached our “When to Stay Home” guidelines along with the MGES Health Office Letter.
