Hello Families,
We have a little Packer-Viking rivalry going on today, along with lots of Pony Pride Friday spirit as our staff and students wear red, black, white, or their Pony gear!
We’ve had a good week—a short one, but full of learning and fun. Students have been enjoying the outdoors in PE, learning about the Ring of Fire in Science, and playing xylophones, folk dancing, and singing in Music.
We have also finished our reading and math screeners and are ready to move forward with additional supports for students who need them, while continuing into our second year of Benchmark Advanced literacy.
We will be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15–October 15 by creating a display for students to enjoy in our main hall. If you have items that represent or showcase Hispanic cultures from around the world and are willing to share them, we would love to include them in our display case or Media Center. Items will be for “eyes only”—no touching!
Our display case is narrow, about 3 inches deep, and enclosed, so please keep that in mind when choosing items to share.

Sept. 8-11
This week, our grade levels had a slightly different BARR focus. Kindergarten and 3rd grade participated in “Getting Acquainted,” an activity designed to help students learn more about their classmates. 1st and 4th grade explored the impact of kindness on others, while 2nd and 5th grade focused on ways we can support and help one another in our school community.
These activities are an important part of building strong relationships and creating a connected school community where every student feels known and supported.
