What is “Partners for Success”?

Partners for Success is a part of MSDE Family Support Services. We provide information about community services, assist families in resolving concerns, and increase parental involvement in the special education decision making process.

Our team includes Megan Fitzgerald, Parent Coordinator serving families with students 5 to 21 and Carie Sadowski, Parent Coordinator serving families with children ages birth to 5.

Description:

Learn about summer camps that will provide your child with opportunities to build self-confidence; gain social and interpersonal skills; executive functioning and problem- solving techniques; academic tutoring and lots of fun. Camps we recommend will support mainstream and special needs children with challenges such as: LD; ADD/ADHD; HFA; PDD/NOS; mild social and emotional disorders; cognitive disabilities; and sensory integration issues. Camp activities include: sports; performing and visual arts; adventure; personal/social development; academics; aquatics; community service; horseback riding; speech and language therapy; vocational training; adaptive PE; and more.

Summer Camp

‍All new applicants and their parents/guardians/caregiver must participate in a pre-camp interview with camp staff prior to acceptance. Once we receive your completed application, an interview will be scheduled. This allows staff to familiarize themselves with the participant, to assess the participant's needs, and to be sure they have applied for the appropriate participant to counselor ratio.

Autism Connection

Autism Connection offers camps throughout the year. Our Mini 3-day camps in the summer and spring and our summer camp starting in June-Aug. Our camps are both center and community based. Our campers get to experience different activities in the community such as swimming, bowling, hiking, shopping and lunch.

We're so excited to hosting our 2nd Annual FCA All-Abilities Adaptive Sports Camp at Rising Sun High School on Saturday, July 26, 2025.
As always, the goal of camp is to offer a fun, safe, quality camp-environment while providing an opportunity for our campers to experience the love of Christ by serving them with boundless joy and unconditional love! Plan on coming out to join us for another great year of camp as a camper or volunteer!
