From Principal Meaux
We are starting our ninth day of school, and our students are doing a wonderful job adjusting! They are getting used to new routines, long days, and hard work. We know this adjustment is not always easy, and we thank our families for encouraging their children each morning.
The most important thing you can do to help your child succeed is make sure they come to school every day they are well.
We want school and learning to be fun, but it can be hard to compete with the freedom of summer! Some children may say they want to stay home. Stay strong and keep those morning routines going. Every lesson matters, and every missed day can make it harder for a child to keep up.
Of course, children should stay home when they are sick. But when they are well, they need to be at school—on time, every day. Success takes hard work, and good attendance is where it begins. Let’s build strong habits now and keep the momentum going all year!
We are especially proud of our younger students. Most have adjusted very well, often with help from older brothers and sisters who guide them into the building with a positive attitude. Thank you to those older students for being such great leaders!
Finally, thank you to our car rider families! You have been prepared with your signs, pulled forward so more cars can enter the line, and remained friendly and helpful to our staff despite the extreme heat. Because of your teamwork, our line is already moving faster than our average time last year! We dismissed a little early while everyone learned the new system. Going forward, cars should begin moving closer to our regular 3:10 dismissal time.
Thank you for working with us. Keep encouraging your babies, keep your routines strong, and keep sending them to school. Every learner, every day!
Lunch Visitors
We love welcoming parents to have lunch with their children! Because space is limited, please use the SignUpGenius link below to schedule your visit. Your child will join you at our family table, but other students may not join you. This helps us keep everyone safe while still making room for families to enjoy this special time together. We look forward to seeing you!
