Eagle Express
September 2026 Edition
From the Desk of the Assistant Principal
Dear Citrus Park Families,
Welcome to September! It is hard to believe we are already moving into our second month of school. Our Eagles have done a wonderful job settling into routines, building relationships, and getting back into the rhythm of learning.
As we begin a new month, we want to continue building strong habits that will help our students have a successful year. Thank you for your continued partnership, support, and commitment to our Citrus Park Eagles!
🍎 September at a Glance
September will be another busy and exciting month at CPE! Please continue to stay connected through school and teacher communication for information about upcoming events, important dates, classroom activities, and opportunities to be involved.
As always, remember to check those Thursday Folders each week for important information coming home!
⏰ Every Day Counts!
Attendance continues to be an important focus at Citrus Park. Every day—and every minute—of instruction matters.
Please help your Eagle start the month strong by:
⭐ Attending school every day
⭐ Arriving on time and ready to learn
⭐ Keeping morning routines consistent
⭐ Scheduling appointments outside of school hours whenever possible
Being present is one of the most important ways we can help our students grow academically and socially.
📚 Learning Is in Full Swing!
September is when we really begin to see learning take flight! Teachers have established classroom routines and expectations, and our Eagles are diving into grade-level instruction.
Ask your child about what they are learning, celebrate their progress, and encourage them to keep trying when something feels challenging. Those small conversations at home make a BIG difference!
Patriot Day – September 11
On September 11, we pause to remember and honor the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the strength and unity shown by our country.
We encourage our Eagles to continue demonstrating kindness, compassion, and service to others—not just on this day, but every day.
❤️ A Personal Note from Mrs. Arnold
I also have a personal update to share with you. September 11 will be my final day at Citrus Park Elementary. As part of a district administrative placement, I have been reassigned to serve as the Assistant Principal at Twin Lakes Elementary.
While I understand that transitions are part of leadership, this community has become incredibly special to me, which makes saying goodbye much harder than I ever anticipated. It is difficult to put into words what this school community has meant to me. Citrus Park has been so much more than a place where I come to work each day. It has been a place where I have grown as a leader, built relationships I will always treasure, and had the privilege of watching so many incredible children learn and grow.
To our families, thank you for trusting me with your children. Thank you for the conversations in the car line, the emails, the encouragement, the partnership, and even the moments when we had to work through something difficult together. Every interaction has helped shape me into the leader I am today.
And to my Eagles—thank you for the hugs, high-fives, smiles, stories, and laughter that have filled my days. Those are the memories I will carry with me.
Although this next chapter was not one I expected to begin right now, I will step into it with the same love for students, families, and education that Citrus Park has strengthened in me. Leaving CPE is incredibly bittersweet, and I hope you know just how much this school and this community have meant to me. No matter where my journey takes me, a piece of my heart will always belong to Citrus Park.
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle. 🦅❤️💙
With love and gratitude,
Mrs. Cynthia Arnold

Meet our Staff!
A Message from our Student Support Services Team!
- Ashley Beasley, School Counselor
- Alexandra Craveiro, School Social Worker
- Alicia Whitcher, School Psychologist (available Tues., Wed., and every other Thurs.)
The Student Support Services team provides ongoing support that is designed to meet the needs of students. By building open communication pathways and establishing supportive, meaningful relationships with students and families, our services consider the needs of the "whole child". Our services are provided to meet students' academic, physical, and social-emotional needs, while connecting students and families to the vast array of community agencies and resources available. We also address barriers to attendance, which impacts students' learning. Student Services bolsters district-wide implementation of evidence-based programs that foster positive behavior, equity, and promote inclusive school culture.
