Back to School August 2026
Meet The Teacher Night
Pecatonica Elementary will be hosting its Meet the Teacher event on Thursday, August 20 from 3:30 pm until 5:00 pm. This is a great opportunity to find your classroom, meet your teachers, and drop off any supplies you may have to bring. We hope to see everyone there!
These are just a few reminders for the upcoming school year to make drop off and pick up run smoothly:
- School hours are 7:55 am - 3:05pm. Any students being dropped off after 8:00 am will need to enter through the office door and will be considered tardy.
- Students can be dropped off for school starting at 7:45 am. There is no adult supervision before 7:45. Please be sure a staff member is available before leaving your student.
- Crossing guards will also be available 7:45-8:00. PES has crossing guards at 6th & Reed, 7th & Reed, and 7th & Main. Please be sure to utilize crosswalks.
- Buses load/unload from Reed Street.
- Drop off on will be on 6th Street, located on the north side of the building. For your child’s safety, we ask that you drop your student off at the south curb. Families who plan on walking students to the door/class line should park on the north curb or utilize a side street.
- Please no dropping off/picking up from 7th Street.
- Remain safe at all times!
School Social Worker
Hello Pecatonica Family, my name Kira Pellegrini.
I hope you all have been enjoying your summer! As the summer comes to an end, I’m looking forward to meeting you and your students.
I graduated from Aurora University with my Masters of Social Work and I am thrilled to join Pecatonica Elementary School in my role as a Social Worker.
My husband and I just recently moved to the area with our 2 dogs and cat. We would love any local recommendations since we are new to the area! My goal this year is to meet your students where they are and help them grow. Hello, My name is Eric Meyer. I have been teaching music for 17 years. I am married and have two children named Lila and Audrey. For fun I enjoy playing guitar and writing music. I look forward to working with the Pecatonica community.
