Back to School Night Back to School Night

All parents/guardians are invited to come out to Tantasqua Junior High School tomorrow night for a chance to meet your student's teachers. We will be following an Open House format where parents can walk the building, follow your students schedule and ask teachers any questions. The doors will be open from 6:00-7:30pm. Parents can come and go as they please as there will be no formal presentations. There will be other tables setup throughout the building hosted by various guests who support our schools in different ways. Your child's schedule is attached to this email to help you find your way around the building. Please use the guide below to help you find your way in the building.

Please note, this is not a parent teacher conference night as it's meant to provide all families with first hand information on their student's expectations at school. If you needed an individual conference with a teacher please schedule that for another time. This event is for parents/guardians only, students aren't expected to attend. If students needed to come due to day care reasons they certainly are welcome.

Helpful Information for Tomorrow

If you are reading your child's schedule and looking for their classrooms, the following information will help you find your way.

1) The building is broken up into three wings: the A wing, B wing and C wing. The A wing is music classes on the first floor and our gymnasium located on the second floor. The B wing consists of classrooms on all three floors located in the center of the building. The C wing is primarily core academic classes on all three floors. If you child's classroom is located in "C123" then the room is in the C wing.

2) The first number of the classroom indicates the floor. If your child's class is in "C123" then the room is in the C wing on the first floor.

3) 7th grade core academic classrooms are all located on the 3rd floor in the C wing except for science. All Science classrooms for both 7th and 8th grade are located in the B wing on the third floor.

4) We will have staff available to help parents so please don't hesitate to ask questions if you need help.

5) Some teams will be meeting with parents as a group which is listed below and other teachers will be available in their classrooms. The teachers available and their room locations are listed below.

If you or anyone who is attending with you requires the elevator, it is located inside in the "A Wing."

If you are entering the building and heading to the "C Wing" classes, you should come in through the Superintendent's entrance or the back entrance and head directly to the floor you are looking for. Once you enter the floor you are supposed to be on, enter the hallway and the C wing is right there.

If you are entering the building and are heading to the "B Wing Classes," you can utilize any of the 3 entries and head directly to the appropriate floor and find those classes in the middle of the building.

If you are entering the building and are looking for the gymnasium or the music hallway, you should utilize the Principal's main entryway.

*Note- Entry to Art or Mrs. Lowe's Health class is located at the top of the third floor stairwell. Access to the gym is on the second floor stairwell landing.
