End of the 1st Nine Weeks

It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the end of the first nine weeks! Students have been working so hard and making great progress both academically and socially. We just finished our first round of benchmark testing, and we’re seeing some awesome growth!

We’ve also had a nice boost in attendance — thank you so much for helping your child get to school every day and on time. It really makes a difference!

Just a reminder: Fall Break is next week, and we’ll have a Flexible Learning Day on October 20. Enjoy your time off and have a fun, relaxing break!

Attendance Incentive

As part of our efforts to improve student attendance, we are introducing a new incentive program! Currently, 17.8% of our students are considered chronically absent, and our goal is to reduce that number to 10% or less.

To help encourage strong attendance, we will be holding a special drawing for a prize pack from The Cave Pizza! All students who are present and on time every day for the next two weeks will be entered into the drawing.

We had 199 students present and on time everyday from September 29 - October 10. The winner of this weeks drawing was Robert W. in 4th grade. We will have another drawing on October 31.

We know that being at school every day, on time, makes a big difference in your child’s learning and success. Thank you for partnering with us to help your student—and all of our students—build great attendance habits.
