Gahanna Lincoln High School
2025-2026
A/B Schedule Week of February 16
Schedule Reminder for Families
This is a quick reminder that our schedule for this week follows a A / B / A / B rotation.
Cell Phone & Wireless Earbud/Headphones
As previously shared, beginning January 1, all Ohio public schools are required to implement updated expectations regarding student cell phone use during the school day. In alignment with Ohio law and Gahanna-Jefferson Board of Education policy 5136, Gahanna Lincoln is fully enforcing its cell phone policy to ensure learning environments remain focused, respectful, and safe for all students.
A specific concern we are seeing recently is an increase in students wearing wireless headphones/earbuds during the school day. Wireless earbuds connected to personal devices are not permitted and will be confiscated if they are out or in use.
To review the expectation:
Cell phones must be powered off completely and stored out of sight before students enter the building.
Phones are not permitted during breakfast, lunch, class time, study halls, or transitions.
Phones may only be used when explicitly authorized by a staff member for instructional purposes.
Wireless headphones/earbuds connected to personal devices are not permitted.
Wired headphones may be used when connected directly to a district-issued Chromebook for learning purposes.
If students need to contact home during the school day, they should do so through the main office or Student Services. Families may reach the school at (614) 478-5500 if they need to contact their child.
We appreciate your partnership in reinforcing these expectations at home. Consistency between school and home helps us maintain an environment where students can stay focused and engaged in their learning.
Student Parking Reminders
While we understand that weather has provided some struggles over the past few weeks, we want to send a reminder that all student drivers are still expected to park in their assigned parking areas. These areas include Clark Hall, Peace Lutheran Church and Shull Park.
All available student parking spots are labeled with S###. Students should not park in any assigned staff, preschool or business spots at Clark Hall.
There is absolutely no student parking on campus until after 3:30pm. Please reference prior communication for students accessing campus for afterschool activities.
Any vehicle parked on the GLHS campus or partner locations during the school day must have a valid permit on display at all times. Any vehicle that is towed becomes the sole responsibility of the owner.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email lhsparking@gjps.org
