On November 29, Humble ISD resumed sending automated notifications by email to parents when an unexcused absence occurs. The emails will come from the address HumbleISD_Connect@humbleisd.net.

To avoid absences being marked as unexcused, parents of both virtual and in-person learners must notify the school that their child is absent. Parental consent for the absence makes it excused. Parents must provide the parent note to the campus within 48 hours of the student’s return to school. TEA has requirements in place regarding attendance procedures that schools must follow.

If your child is absent, please:

• Go to humbleisd.net/attendancecontacts and submit the form online;
• Or, email the campus attendance office about the absence;
• Or, send a parent note with the student about the absence;
• Or call or fax in a message to the campus.

Working in partnership, we ensure that parents are informed when their child has an unexcused absence so that parents can check on their children or send a note within 48 hours to have the absence marked excused.
