Board Approves to Update Policy

The Board of Education approved a proposal to include the addition of a co-chair and one at-large classification to the Personnel Policies Committee.

Policies Updates Following Legislative Session

Mr. Jacob Smith, the Executive Director of Human Resources, presented to the board some new policies that will have to be developed following the 2023 Legislative Session. The Licensed Personnel Policies Committee and the Classified Personnel Policies Committee will have to meet to create these policies with guidance from the Arkansas School Boards Association.

Capital Improvement Projects Survey

Mr. Jacob Smith, the Executive Director of Human Resources, and Ms. Janet Ruble, District Finance Specialist, co-led a discussion with the Board of Education on a survey to be distributed to the public regarding their feedback on capital improvement projects.

The district has been holding community forums to discuss its proposed construction plans. There will be one more meeting on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom. This link provides access to the virtual meeting.

Board Workshop

All meetings begin at 5:30 p.m. and are held in the Boardroom in the Administration Building, located at 2400 Willow Street. They are open to the public.

Meetings will also be broadcast on our YouTube Channel: NLRSD Board Meetings.
