Happy June, Huckleberry Heroes!

I cannot believe that we are in the final month of the school year! It was wonderful to be all together at HHS this year. As we wrap up the end of the school year, if you and your family are interested in accessing resources over the summer, check out the links at the bottom of this newsletter, as well as the School Adjustment Counselor Website, which is linked below. I hope you all have a wonderful and restful summer break!

Our final Huckleberry Hero theme of the school year: Perseverance kicked off last month and it has been wonderful hearing students talk about how they have had to persevere this school year! I have loved seeing the at-home connection "Look How I Have Grown" flowers start to fill up our Garden of Growth tree at school! I look forward to continuing to see more flowers this month. Students will be continuing to learn about what perseverance means and discuss more ways they have had to persevere. Students will continue to listen to books, engage in discussions, and participate in activities with their teachers and peers.

Strategies for a Successful Summer Break - Child Mind Institute

While your average child may be thrilled by the end of the school year, anticipating lazy days and sleeping in, the prospect of summer break isn't quite that unalloyed pleasure for parents. And if you have a child with emotional or developmental issues who is challenging in the best of times, nothing calls on whatever extra powers you might possess more than the long break that lies ahead.
