October at Miltona Science Magnet School

Dear MES Families,

Happy October! It's hard to believe we're already here, and conference time is almost upon us. If you haven't signed up for a conference yet, please do so soon. And if you need help setting one up, just reach out and we'll be glad to assist. (see information below)

Our school's largest fundraiser is officially underway! Each student has been sent home with an Ole & Lena packet. If you haven't had a chance to look it over yet, now is a great time. If your child needs an order extra form, there are some in the office. I have so much confidence in our students, and I wouldn't be surprised one bit if they set a new record this year!

Thank you for everything you do to support our school. We're so happy you're here!

Supporting Literacy at Home

As part of Minnesota’s READ Act requirements, we’re sharing resources to help families support their children’s reading and literacy skills at home.

The Minnesota Department of Education offers a helpful READ Act Family Toolkit with resources and information for families.

We encourage you to explore the toolkit and find ways to support your child’s reading journey at home!
