MLK Day on Monday
BWMS Community,
As we head into the weekend, it is a good time to take a moment to reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. At BWMS, we strive to SOAR daily, reaching our individual goals while fostering a supportive environment for every Golden Eagle. Dr. King’s reminder that "the time is always right to do the right thing" is the perfect guide for our growth. Even though school is "off" this Monday, January 19th, our commitment to character is always "on" as we honor the path Dr. King paved for us all.

Important Updates
- Be sure to check out the new registrations for Eagle Extensions below to include a Drama Club Performance.
- Monday 1/19/26 is Martin Luther King Jr Day and we will not have school.
- Attention 8th grade parents, we could use some help with our annual budgeting Real Money, Real World simulation on Friday 1/23/26. Please see the details below on how you could volunteer. As a reminder, all parents will have to be board approved as a volunteer. Details on this process are available on this website.
- The Student Group and Candid Picture Day is Monday 1/26/26. This is the day when we get our team and activity/club photos.
- Attention 8th grade families - your student's baby picture for the yearbook is due by the end of January. Please see the submission details below. Feel free to reach out to YvonneGrubb@bwls.net with any questions.
- Scheduling information will be available for the 2026-27 school year as we shift to the month of February.
- Attention 8th grade families - Save the Date for the Freshman Scheduling Night will be Monday 2/9/26. (A-G at 6:00pm, H-O at 6:30pm, P-Z at 7:00pm)
- The next BWMS Parent Teacher Conference Night is Thursday 2/12/26.
Attention 8th Grade parents - BWMS Needs Your Help on Friday, Jan 23rd (corrected date)
On Friday January 23rd, 8th grade students will participate in a hands-on budget management and decision-making spending simulation in which we need your help. Real Money. Real World. (RMRW) is a financial literacy program for youth from Ohio State University Extension. This curriculum helps students connect college and career planning with budgeting principles within schools. Volunteers are needed to help run the following stations for students to see all of the factors that contribute to a healthy budget: Chance, Child Care, Clothing, Communications, Contributions, Credit and College Loan, Entertainment, Food, Housing, Insurance, Transportation, Utilities.

Annual CCP Notice
College Credit Plus Annual Notice
Ohio schools are required to provide notice to students and families in grades 6-11 of the opportunity to participate in the College Credit Plus program for the upcoming school year. All students interested in College Credit Plus for the 2025-2026 school year are required to give written notice of the Intent to Participate no later than April 1. Recent legislation requires us to use the Intent to Participate Form developed by the state.

BWMS Athletic Information
Reminder that all athletes should have their final forms complete and a current OHSAA Evaluation Exam Form uploaded to Final Forms directly or emailed to Mrs. Kreager stephaniekreager@bwls.net. All physicals must be received prior to the first tryout date or first practice of the season.
