Please note that in order to create equitable experiences for all of our students and to form a positive classroom community in which sharing is the norm, most of our classrooms combine supplies for all students to use as community supplies. Therefore, please only label their backpack, extra clothes, and/or blanket if applicable.

• K3, K4, and K5 students should send in an extra set of clothes in a bag labeled with the students’ name.

As you may be aware, there has been significant uncertainty surrounding the future of CLC programs and Boys & Girls Clubs due to reduced federal funding. At one point this summer, funding was temporarily withheld, putting many programs at risk. Thanks to strong advocacy efforts from our School Engagement Council and supportive families, including parent leader Amanda and leadership, we were able to meet directly with the president of the Boys & Girls Clubs. As a result of these conversations and ongoing community support, we are pleased to confirm that Fratney will continue to offer CLC programming for the 2025–26 school year—both before and after school.

Some changes to note:

• Families will now be asked to complete a Wisconsin Shares application or pay a modest weekly fee.

• CLC is expected to start on Monday, September 8th.

La Escuela Fratney has a CLC Community Learning Center with the Boys and Girls Club. We will continue to offer morning CLC from 7:30 to 9:00 am and pm CLC from 4:15 to 6 pm this school year. CLC is open to students in K4 through 6th grade. We do not have details on the start date yet. However students who were in the program last year will be prioritized for a spot this school year if needed. Families interested in the CLC program should plan on attending the school wide open house on Thursday, August 28th to get additional details on the program. Families will be asked to complete a Wisconsin Shares or pay a small weekly fee for CLC before and/or afterschool. We are committed to sharing more details with our families as soon as we have them.

La Escuela Fratney cuenta con un Centro de Aprendizaje Comunitario CLC junto con el Boys and Girls Club. Este año escolar, seguiremos ofreciendo CLC matutino de 7:30 a 9:00 a. m. y CLC vespertino de 4:15 a 6:00 p. m. El CLC está abierto a estudiantes de kínder a sexto grado. Aún no tenemos detalles sobre la fecha de inicio. Sin embargo, se priorizará el cupo para este año escolar a los estudiantes que participaron en el programa el año pasado, si es necesario. Las familias interesadas en el programa CLC deben asistir a la jornada de puertas abiertas de la escuela el jueves 28 de agosto para obtener más información. Se les pedirá a las familias que completen el formulario Wisconsin Shares o paguen una pequeña cuota semanal para el CLC antes o después de clases. Nos comprometemos a compartir más información con nuestras familias tan pronto como la tengamos.

There will be one calendar for the whole district again this year. Please review this calendar before making plans for trips or vacations. Students must be in school 95% of the time or more which means they can only miss 1 day a month the whole school year. Students who miss more than 10 days of school a year fall behind academically and socially. Make a plan now to be in school every day on time.
