Week in Review Week in Review

What a week. First, thank you for your patience as we continue working through the two-lunch schedule. For now, Ingraham will remain on our regular one-lunch schedule, you can find more details below.

Outside of the schedule discussions, the school year has been off to a smooth start. A highlight last week was seeing students use the courtyards as spaces to study, connect, and enjoy the campus. A big shout-out to our grounds crew, who spent their summer days power washing, weeding, trimming, and preparing these areas for students to enjoy.

Another highlight has been in the classroom. Ingraham staff have worked hard to design lessons through a universal design lens. This means recognizing that learning is not one-size-fits-all and intentionally focusing on how to support the diverse needs of all our students.

Fantastic start!

Ingraham Schedule Update Ingraham Schedule Update

Last night, we received an email announcement from Seattle Public Schools sharing a temporary pause on adjusting our schedule to two lunches. Impacted comprehensive high schools across the district are currently in the process of pausing plans this week. High School administrators will continue to listen and learn from our students as we problem solve solutions prior to the October 6th deadline.

Starting today (9/15), Ingraham High School will operate using our one-lunch bell schedule and will communicate updates as they become available.

If your student has a signed civic duty engagement form on file at the attendance office, they will be excused for Periods 3-6 on Monday 9/15. We are working on processing these forms. Please be advised that all civic engagement walkout attendance excusals will be completed by Friday 9/19, therefore you may receive an absent robot call or email tonight. Please be patient and please check The Source for accurate attendance. If your student did not fill out and return a civic duty engagement form and participated in the walkout, this absence from school is unexcused.

Thank you for your continued support of your student.
