Parent's Reading Club
Throughout this year, Aldine's parents have had the opportunity to participate in a Book Study. During these sessions, families had beautiful conversations about their books and shared how they connected to the readings. The English Reading Club read Angel of Greenwood, a novel that talks about two young Black people living in the Greenwood neighborhood of Tulsa, Oklahoma, in the days leading up to the Tulsa Race Riot and massacre. At the same time, the Spanish Reading Club read the narrative of a young child and his immigrant family.
