CPHS Mission 98
At College Park High School, we are committed to ensuring every Cavalier Graduate is College, Career, or Military Ready (CCMR)—equipped with the skills, knowledge, and character to thrive in life beyond high school. With pride in our achievements, honor in our traditions, and a relentless pursuit of success, we are setting our sights on achieving an Accountability Rating of 98 within the next three years. Together, we can make it happen! In the weeks ahead, we will share how parents can partner with us to help ensure their child is CCMR ready.
SB 2929
Referees at University Interscholastic League (UIL)-sanctioned events in Texas are granted the authority to remove unruly spectators without issuing a prior verbal warning. This authority stems from Texas Senate Bill 2929, signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott, which specifically amends Section 37.105 of the Education Code, allowing for immediate ejection of disruptive spectators from extracurricular events sponsored or sanctioned by school districts or the UIL.

Student Drop-off/pick-up/Buses/Parking
It is vital that all parents and students follow the directions online to minimize traffic issues. Student drop-off/pickup is located in the front of the building. All cars must enter the main entrance (Honor Roll Drive).
The bus drop-off/pickup is at the back of the building, with the busses entering Fellowship Drive (West Entrance). Cars should not be driven on the bus drop-off/pickup roads for any reason. Bus route information will be available online in early August. If you have questions concerning routes and their arrival/departure times, please visit the CISD website or call Transportation at 832-592-8800.
Students should not be dropped off to walk to school from the businesses in front of the school. It is not safe and causes delays in drop-off traffic.
Student drivers will enter the student parking lot from Achievement Drive (East Entrance). Please see the Parking and Driver’s Safety Course http://twcp.conroeisd.net/student-helpful-links/ for information regarding student drivers. All drivers are reminded to leave early and be patient each day to minimize issues.
Remember that the businesses in front of the school are not locations for pick-up or drop-off. The parking lots are for their customers, and they reserve the right to restrict access from their lots. Once a student arrives on campus, they are not allowed to leave. If they visit a food establishment by the school, they need to do that before arriving on campus.
Attendance
Our 24-25 attendance rate was: 94.9%. Our goal for 25-26 is 98%!
CPHS wants All Cavaliers to Achieve. A large part of student success is related to student attendance. We want to teach our Cavs all we can in the days that we have with them. Please encourage your student to attend every period to gain the knowledge they need to be successful. In the event your child does miss school, please be sure to email our attendance office or see the new Student Absence Reporting App information below. Also, please remind your child to get with their teacher about any work they missed. We would also like to remind you that your child will be at risk of losing credit and parents/guardians may have to go to court due to attendance.

Board Policy CO (Local) Food and Nutrition Management permits students to charge meals for no more than 15-school days. Below are the recommended guidelines to follow when students have insufficient funds and/or exceed the 15-day charge limit: Students in grades 7-12
- When a student’s account has a negative balance, once per week, the parent will receive notification by email and through Parent Access that their student has insufficient funds in their meal account.
- After 10-days of charges, the Child Nutrition Manager will refer the matter to the campus administration.
- Campus administration/counselors will contact the parent, verify the parent is aware of the situation, offer the school lunch program application, or other community resources, and help the parent finalize a plan to replenish the student’s account and clear all charges.
- Once the student has reached the 15-day charge limit no meals will be provided until the account is replenished, a payment plan has been initiated, or due to extenuating circumstances there is a campus administrative override to allow additional charges.
Applications for free and reduced-price meal service are available online at www.myschoolapps.com. Applications may be filled out anytime during the school year. Approval is based on federal guidelines. For more information, please call 936-709-8197
