Warrior Weekly

Highlights of the week!

Coleman Families,

It was a wonderful week of learning for our Warriors! Mrs. Knickmeyer is always finding creative ways to encourage our students to read. This week, the Coleman Library hosted a Nominee Reading Party for 18 of our 3rd and 4th graders. To earn an invitation, students had to read and submit a detailed book review for four Denny O'Neil Graphic Novel Nominee books and/or four Mark Twain Nominee books. These nominee books are selected annually by the Missouri Association of School Librarians. In the photo, students are proudly holding up their favorite or second-favorite nominee books—unless their top choices were checked out! We hope to see even more students participate next year.

Mrs. Foust also knocked it out of the park this week with a beach-themed concert! Students had a blast with the movements and tongue twisters, making it a fun and engaging performance.

Please check your child's backpack this evening—you’ll find a packet of work to complete in the event of a school closure due to flooding. We’re hoping the forecasted rain will be minimal so that students and teachers can be in school all next week.

Stay safe and dry this weekend!
