Attention Doe Run Families! Teacher assignment letters are complete and ready to be mailed out this week. Start checking your mailboxes on Friday and if you haven't received your teacher assignment letter by August 24th, you may call the office for support. Prior to calling, please ensure your address and contact information has been updated via the Student Information Update link that was emailed earlier this month.

Last Monday, many Doe Run staff members had the opportunity to tour Doe Run Elementary School for the first time! Later on today, we will be hosting a second round of staff tours. Teachers are so excited to see the progress that has been made and are eager to get into the building and set up their classrooms in 2 weeks.

As we prepare for an exciting new school year, we want to remind our Doe Run Elementary families that the Coatesville Area School District proudly provides all materials and supplies needed for instructional purposes to our elementary students. There is no requirement for families to purchase school supplies.

However, we understand that many families enjoy the tradition of shopping for school supplies with their children, and we also know that some families like to start shopping early. If you’d like to take part in this tradition, we’ve included a list of optional items that students may bring to school to help them feel prepared and excited for the year ahead.

We also encourage each student to bring a refillable water bottle from home to stay hydrated throughout the day. Please be sure to label all personal items, including book bags, lunch boxes, and water bottles, with your child’s name and grade level to help keep items organized and easily identified.

We can’t wait to welcome our students back for another wonderful school year!

Primary parents and guardians: Don't forget to check your email! You should have received an important message with the subject line: "2026-2027 Returning Student Information Update Notification."

The Returning Student Information Update must be completed by Monday, August 17, 2026.

Important: Families who do not complete the update by the deadline will not be able to access student schedules at the secondary level or classroom teacher assignments at the elementary level until the required information has been submitted.
