A Message From the Principal
Husky Nation Parents,
We had another great week of learning at Harrington, and it has been exciting to see our students continue to grow and make progress.
Teachers will soon be reaching out to offer Fall Parent Conference opportunities, including the afternoon of November 3rd as an option.
Our first Fall Break is also right around the corner, October 12–16. Before then, our wonderful PTA will host our annual Walk, Bike, and Roll on the morning of October 7th. We hope many of our families will join us for this fun Harrington tradition!
We hope everyone enjoys a wonderful and restful weekend!

OCTOBER
October is National Bullying Prevention Month, and Plano ISD is taking this opportunity to help students build the skills they need to create safe, kind, and inclusive school communities.
Throughout October, Plano ISD counselors will provide annual bullying prevention guidance lessons for students in grades PK–12. Lessons are age-appropriate and designed to help students understand what bullying is, recognize bullying and cyberbullying behaviors, know how to report concerns, and learn ways to safely support others.
Students will also explore the importance of kindness, empathy, respect, inclusion, and being an upstander when they see someone being treated unfairly.
Families Play an Important Role
Parents and caregivers can reinforce these conversations at home by asking questions such as:
What does bullying look like?
What would you do if you saw someone being bullied?
Who could you talk to if you or a friend were experiencing bullying?
How can you help someone feel included?
What can you do to make your school or community a kinder place?
Please encourage your child to talk with a trusted adult if they experience or witness bullying. Remind them that speaking up is an important part of helping create a safe environment for everyone.
Together, we can help every student feel safe, supported, respected, and included.
See Parent resources for more information. :)
