Paw-sitive Highlights ๐พ
Our ELL students are working on their annual Beautification Project! Students research plants that grow well in our region and learn how to care for them. After their research, they bring in a plant to add to our courtyard.
It's a great way for students to practice research skills while giving back to the school. Their plants help make our courtyard a more colorful and welcoming place for everyone. ๐ฑ๐ผ

Happy Spring Break to Our Students, Families, and Staff
As we head into Spring Break, I would like to take a moment to thank everyone for the dedication, hard work, and support you have shown throughout the school year so far. Our students continue to grow and succeed because of the strong partnership between our families, staff, and school community.
I hope this break provides an opportunity for everyone to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. Whether you are traveling, spending time outdoors, or simply relaxing at home, I wish you a safe and wonderful Spring Break.
Please remember that if you need anything during this time, do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to support our students and families.
We look forward to welcoming everyone back after the break, refreshed and ready to continue a great school year together.

Welcome to the Pack ๐พ
Please join us in welcoming Kaelyn Bagwell to Camino Middle School! Ms. Bagwell is our new Office Manager and Head Secretary.
When sheโs not at school, Ms. Bagwell enjoys riding her side-by-side RZR, traveling, spending time with her dog, and hanging out with friends. Her favorite place to visit is West Virginia, where she loves heading back east to enjoy the scenery and time with loved ones.
And in true New Mexico fashion, when asked the classic question, she chooses green chile over red! ๐ถ๏ธ
Weโre excited to have Ms. Bagwell as part of the Camino family!

Note from the Nurse ๐พ
Dear Parents and Guardians,
To help our students prepare for 7th grade, LCPS is partnering with the NM Department of Health to host a vaccination clinic on March 25th from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Camino nurse's office. This clinic will provide the required 7th grade Tdap and Meningococcal vaccines for the upcoming school year.
Permission forms will be sent home today to those students who are still in need of the vaccinations. All signed permission forms must be returned to the school by March 13th. On the day of the clinic, we will only pull students who have a signed parent permission form on file.
If your student received a packet but they have received the vaccinations, please provide proof of vaccinations to school nurse. Thank you for your cooperation in keeping our students healthy and compliant with state requirements!
Leader of the Pack ๐พ
Mason Whitlock is one of Caminoโs PE coaches and a proud Las Cruces native who has come full circleโhe once attended Camino as a student himself.
He graduated from Oregon Mountain High School and later earned a degree in kinesiology from New Mexico State University. Coach Whitlock chose to become a PE teacher and coach because he enjoys promoting health and fitness and helping students stay active.
A fun fact about Coach Whitlock is that he once served as Pistol Pete at NMSU. When heโs not at school, he enjoys anything related to motorsports.
And when it comes to the classic New Mexico question, he proudly chooses green chile.
