Message from the Principal
9/27/2026
Dear Westview Families,
Our Campus Improvement Plan sets important goals for this year. We want to offer more opportunities for families to engage with us at school, improve attendance and STAAR performance, increase student applications to Early College High School and P-TECH, and reduce discipline referrals. Your partnership will help us make progress on every one of these goals.
We are also working toward something that cannot be captured fully by numbers: every student feeling that they belong at Westview. We want our students to know that we want them here, that they matter, and that they deserve to be treated with kindness by their peers.
Recent incidents involving hurtful comments at school and online have reminded us how much this work matters. Words can cause real harm. Please talk with your children about how they speak to others, what they share on social media, and how they can help when they see a peer being treated unkindly. We are proud to be Wildcats, and I want our students to show one another what it means to be kind, smart, strong, and ready to lead. This year, we are creating student leadership groups focused on student governance, leadership, and community service so students have more ways to put those qualities into action.
Today gave me a glimpse of the community we are building. We ended the week with our Hispanic Heritage dance, where 140 students came together for an afternoon of fun. At one point, I noticed a student sitting alone who seemed sad. Several students went over, invited him to join them, and made sure he felt included. I was proud of those Wildcats. That small act of kindness is something we can choose to repeat every day.
I am proud of all our students, and I believe in their ability to do great things. Thank you for helping us make Westview a place where every Wildcat feels welcome.

Football Concessions Volunteers Needed!
Westview Families—we urgently need your help!
To date, only one parent has signed up to help with PTO concessions at our football games. The money raised through concessions directly supports student activities and celebrations throughout the year. Without enough volunteers, we may not be able to raise the funds needed to provide other exciting events and opportunities for our students.
Please consider giving just a few hours of your time. We truly cannot do this without you! Sign up here:
