Coins for Capron

Student Council’s first project will be collecting coins for Capron Park. They provide so much to our community. It will be great to give back in such a positive way.

The “Coins for Capron" Fundraiser that starts Monday, October 16th and will run for two weeks Students are asked to bring in spare change and donate to Capron Park. Please see the flyer below for more information.

Breakfast

I am asking for your help with breakfast. Although breakfast is free of charge and offered to all students who need it, it is not mandatory. Please check in with your child about whether or not they need to be going to breakfast. If they eat at home, they should not need to go to a second breakfast. We are finding that good amount of students are NOT eating the food. They are picking out the snacks and using the time to socialize instead of starting the day with their class. This, of course, is not all students, so please have a conversation with your child about whether or not they are using breakfast as intended.

Community Reading Event

On Monday, October 23rd, former Patriots player, Malcolm Mitchell, will be visiting our second graders and reading to them! This event is being sponsored by Patriots Subaru in North Attleboro. We are very excited to be chosen for this community outreach.

October Spirit Day

On Tuesday, October 31st, Studley will be having a DRESS UP Spirit Day. Students are encouraged to wear any of the following:
  • fall colors
  • Studley wear
  • costumes

Costumes should follow these guidelines for a successful day:

  • Students must be able to move easily and participate in all school activities. (This includes going to the bathroom).
  • Students' faces must be visible (no masks).
  • Only clothes - no additional props.
  • Costumes must be school appropriate (non-violent, full coverage, etc.)
  • Weapons of any kind are not allowed.

Student Council

What an incredible turnout for this year's election! There were 61 students who ran for student council. The posters were absolutely AMAZING. Although not everyone can win, it was a great learning opportunity for all those who put themselves out there. Very proud of our Studley Stars!

Congratulations to the 2023-2024 Student Council Members!

From the Nurse

Hello from the Studley Health Office!

We will soon begin the Massachusetts State Mandated Health Screenings. All health screenings conducted are required by law and these screenings are ongoing throughout the school year. Parents and legal guardians may request, in writing, that their child not participate in the program. This request must be written each year and be specific to which screening you do not wish for your child to participate. The elementary school screenings are as follow:

Vision Screening

Vision screenings are conducted for all grades, kindergarten through fourth grade. Parents/guardians will be notified if the student does not pass and referred to their physician for follow-up.

Hearing Screening

Hearing screenings are conducted for grades kindergarten through third grade. Parents/guardians are notified if the student does not pass and referred to their physician for follow-up.

Growth Development Screening

Growth screenings are conducted for students in grades one and four. Heights and weights are measured and calculated into BMI or body mass index.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Student Handbook

Please log into ASPEN and sign off on the student handbook for your child. Please review the directions below if you need support with the ASPEN task. Once completed, our office staff will complete the process.
