Weekly Update
October 24, 2025
From the Principal
Dear Families,
This week our weather has certainly changed! We have turned on the boiler due to the below freezing temperatures and that means layering for students is even more important! Some parts of the building will be warm, and others struggle to maintain temperatures. This is very common with a steam boiler system.
We also had more progress on our new playground equipment. The mulch was delivered, and the border has been put in place. On Monday the mulch will be spread and the final touches on this portion of the playground will be done. The geodome climber is still awaiting parts and will be completed after they are received. Father McMorrow will be coming Tuesday morning before recess to bless our new equipment and then they will be able to play! The kids are so excited and so are we to be able to give them this nice playground. Please remember to thank the Knights of Columbus at our Freeport churches for donating the equipment.
Next week is also Red Ribbon Week, where we celebrate being drug free! Included below are our themes for each day. If your child does not want to participate in the dress up days, they should just come to school in their uniform.
We still have openings in every grade level in the event you know someone that is looking for a change. Please have them go to our website to schedule a visit or contact Mr. Peyton Glawe at peyton.glawe@aquinschools.org or 815-235-3154.
Don't forget tonight is our Trunk or Treat event. Hope to see you there!
