Shining Brighter, Growing Stronger!
Dear Main Street Families,
As we wrap up another successful school year, we want to extend our sincere gratitude to our families for your partnership, support, and commitment to your child's learning. Together, we have celebrated growth, achievement, and many memorable moments throughout the year. Thank you for being an important part of our school community!
As we prepare to celebrate our scholars, please note the following upcoming events:
- Kindergarten Move-Up Ceremony – June 9 at 9:30 a.m.
- Pre-K Move-Up Ceremony – June 10 at 9:30 a.m.
- 5th Grade Graduation – June 10 at 1:30 p.m.
As a reminder, there is a limit to two guests per scholar, and balloons are not permitted.
Please also remember that June 11 and June 12 are half days for all students. Report cards will be distributed on Thursday, June 11th.
We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our scholars and finishing the year strong. The first day of school for the 2026–2027 school year will be Monday, August 31. The 2026–2027 school calendar is linked below for your planning purposes.
📊 Attendance Matters – Let’s Finish Strong!
This week, our average daily attendance was 92%, which is strong and shows that many of our scholars are showing up each day ready to learn! However, only 63% of students currently have an overall attendance rate (ADA) above 90%, which is below our goal. Consistent attendance is critical to your child’s academic success—every day of learning truly matters, especially as we approach the end of the school year and prepare for important assessments like the PSSA.
Our goal is to reach 90% Average Daily Attendance (ADA), and we need your partnership to get there. Please make every effort to ensure your child is at school on time, every day, unless they are sick.
Let’s work together to build strong habits and finish the school year strong!
Thank you again for your ongoing support of Main Street Elementary School. Your partnership truly makes a difference in the success of our students each and every day.
Warm regards,
Ms. D. Medley, Principal
Mrs. C. Edmondson, Assistant Principal
